I find it plausible that henok may of been from an outlier school of thought. But the account of azazel bound hand and foot then buried in dudael doesnt stand up to scrutiny when paralled with Torah. Its possibly a translation issue later on by an anonymous author. Or maybe someone not versed in hebrew. Cant be certain due to so little to find from original source text such as Qumran fragments.
I still find the numerical count of unclean birds to be of value. Just remaining critical till sufficient evidence is found to verify dudael.

That outlier school of thought would be the Tzadokim of the Yahad, at the place now called Khirbet Qumran, where many fragments of Henok were discovered, (and quite possibly one or more complete Henok scrolls, (rumors abound)). There is a professor who has done much research in regards to the Qumran material, (Professor Rachel Elior), and this also with respect to the so-called early Jewish cannon, and how and why it likely changed. The following is a fairly short synopsis of her conclusions, and although it is merely the opinion of one professor, again, she has done much research concerning these things.

Thankyou for the read. A well written summary of history for those that may be able to compare notes. Seemed to be partly a media companies promotional advertisement. I noticed a few vague quotes that are questionable. One stood out as a pretense that yechezkel was almost dismissed from the 24 signifigant scrolls of tnk. I suggest everyone read the mishna for themselves and form an independent opinion of the talmud

Example of a vague quote without reference in the article but may be in the young lady's publication.
"a reinvention of Judaism... They were closing an old world based on prophecy and angelic revelation and opening the sacred canon to human reinterpretation."
Sounds similar cherry picking from talmud as some do with scriptures

Shabbat 13b is a discusion about work allowed and purity. Yechezkel is discussed briefly. Nothing about being excluded

I'd like refocus on the unclean birds and their legion", specifically the number 20.
I wonder if the number is related to the mishkan. 10 curtains 20 boards? North south etc.
3 Five curtains shall be coupled together one to another; and the other five curtains shall be coupled one to another.

A minyan is ten, which can constitute a congregation or assembly, (re: Num 14:27, the ten spies).
