  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Unanimous!

O.K. Here's my thoughts.

I know they don't show us everything that everyone says. All these shows are edited like crazy.

BUT!

If I were there, I think I'd say - whoever lied and didn't vote for Steve, what do you think is going to happen? Do you really and truly think that you can change EVERYONE else's mind? I mean really!

Everyone would have to agree not to vote for Steve and then AGREE on who else they WOULD vote for. And that vote would also have to be unanamious.

I guess the guy claiming to have cancer thinks he'll be able to convince people he's more worthy than Steve.

And I don't think Kelly will leave.

Wonder what would happen if several of them walked out together. And will anyone else's secrets be revealed?

I think I'm hooked! On tape at least.

OK, I'm not going to say anything about tonight's show since I know some of you haven't seen it and I'm too lazy to figure out how to use the spoiler tags LOL...

However, I'm really beginning to think a lot of the contestants are actors. Maybe not all of them, but definitely Richard. He's way over the top, especially tonight. And I'm the last person that comes up with conspiracy theories and stuff like that. I'm really gullible most of the time.

So what did y'all think about tonight's episode and my theory? :p

I hate how they leave you hanging after every episode...it really does need to be an hour long. The only reason I watch it at all is because it's on right after the American Idol results show. If it wasn't for that I doubt I would actually "tune in" to this one.

I think the minister's name was Kelly, and she was very selfish to leave IMO. Also, she is not very Scripture-literate since she claimed that "money is the root of all evil", which is not what the Scriptures say:

1 Timothy 6:10a For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.

This show is actually addictive. :help:

We must watch til the end. Its going all over the place. Now someone else left! But the money wasn't cut in half.

Now they are making side deals and conspiracies all over.
And WHAT IS IN THE BOX????

The main thing about this show that is so strange to me is how they just keep letting the money dwindle away.

I would much rather someone else besides me get the whole amount than to bicker, fight, connive, etc., until all the money was gone.

In a way it's a real life lesson in how you can only control yourself and no one else because even if you're willing to give the money to anyone else, it still wouldn't happen as long as everyone else didn't agree on the same person.

And then you saw what happened even when they did supposedly agree on Steve--it only took 1 person (Jonathan the slimeball) to screw up the whole thing.

My husband brought up a couple of good points:
  • What incentive do the outcasts have for staying? Seems like they could easily get revenge for being voted out of the running by simply walking out and cutting the money in half.
  • Why did the money not get cut in half when the sick girl left? Apparently she actually did have a choice since he asked her about her final decision.

Yeah, this show is addictive, alright! :D

I don't really understand the idea of trying to be in the "final 3"... I mean, if there is only one winner, then why does anyone have any ties to each other AT ALL?

The only thing I can think of is that they all know they will win some money (like in Survivor) just for being part of the game - so the further along you are, the more you get.

Looking forward to seeing what's in "the box".

I would LOVE to hear all their reactions upon watching the show and finding out about Jonathan. :o

Man, this show bring out the worst in people.

And yet I can't look away...

I wonder about that, too, because nothing has ever been said about a 2nd or 3rd prize or anything like that as there is in Survivor and other shows. Maybe the players know more than we do about that.

Yes, I'm so looking forward to everyone (especially Steve! :o ) finding out that HE was the one who blew the only close-to-unanimous vote! Not to mention everyone finding out about the whole testicular cancer fraud!

It was so weird seeing Steve and Adam being so convinced that Vanessa was the lone stray vote when Steve almost won. I just have a hard time imagining Jonathan being that good of a con artist. I'd like to think I'd be suspicious of him, but apparently he's pulling a good con so far.

I know what you mean. It's like humanity at its very worst, but like a train wreck, we just have to look.:D I just wish it was an hour so we could see more of the interplay that goes on in between, like in Big Brother.

If any reality show had actors, it would be this one. I'm not saying it does but it sure seems that way. Who would sign up for such hell.

At first I thought the box had video of some of the discussions behind the scenes. But then after seeing all the previews for next week, I'm not so sure.
