hi there....thought i'd introduce myself.....only just heard of this place tonight, so i'm looking forward to reading some interesting threads....

i am a 42 year old mother of 2, and a widow of 2 1/2 years....i am formerly agnostic, for reasons just too lengthy to get into right now - let's just say i had myriad reasons for being very angry with God, but was struggling to find Him again (if He existed, i thought) - after my husband passed away, God basically whacked me upside the head with a 2X4, and there was no doubt that He had made Himself known to me....

i am now a confessional LCMS lutheran, and i just praise God every day that He didn't give up on me (cos goodness knows what a booger i had been), that i finally opened my eyes and my heart to His Truth....thank You, Holy Triune God!!

thank you for the warm welcome! i appreciate it! i checked out the widow/widower forum, and i posted in there, but i don't think many people go in there....

I know you from another few forums from when your husband was sick. I went by a different screen name back then. I am so glad to see you doing well and that God had His hand on you and your family during that most difficult time.
