CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey Shannon, would you believe it, it took about 3 years to get CF to supply me with my old log-in details. I just thought i'd do me a spot of lurking since they emailed me back this last time i contacted them...then i saw your post and couldn't possibly be so rude as to ignore you. Thanks for noticing me!

Oh- I think most everybody is gone-just a few diehards left. Did you know that Aaron-Aggie and Colleeen got married!!
I'm doing alright--I am, for the first time in 12 years neither pregnant or nursing---so that's kind of neato. We're still homeschooling and the kiddos are all super busy. Overall things are good- they are the best they've been in my life for a long, long time!

Wow, how cool is that! I am so pleased for them both. So it was through CF they both met then yeah?
Sorry to hear that the oldies have disappeared from the forum, but not altogether surprised, this old CF thing is so addictive, at least it was for me, oh yeah, and it can be a bit like a battleground, if memory serves.

Yup- they met through OBOB!
LOL! I am so happy for Aaron- I remember just how, how much he wanted to find a great wife....remember the summer after he was done school before he went to work in DC--he ws like here 24 hours a day
