And in anycase, China does violate patent rules, but at the same time America violates everyones patent rules.

Well, patent rules are intranational things - in the absence of a treaty, saying china violates american patent law is a bit like saying that residents of hong kong drive on the wrong side of the road, and they all deserve tickets, or that american hunters violate British gun control laws and should stop.

What we'd need to know to make statements about international legal stuff is whether China is a signatory to an international patent law convention.

That's exactly what it means, if you don't register it it's not yours. Someone does own the trademark name Bread, the band.
We call bandages, band-aids but only one company owns that johnson and johnson, if any other company actually put "band-aid" on their package they'd be sued, same for Kleenex.
You can't buy trademarks that have been in others use. If it's in public domain for a while then you can't use it.

The fact is, it's in the public domain in Australia for decades, it came from Australia. But it that was not the case in America, in America, Ugg boots were almost unheard of. So they can buy a trademark in America...making an intercontiental cross to Australia, and forcing Aussie business out and Australian companies that have been using this name is unacceptable.

The thing is, this is based on the rules, in America, Decker has their way, but in Australia they don't. Thats the simple line. Decker has a load of cash to force Australian companies broke. The Ugg boots were registered in Australia, but not in America or internationally.

The problem does not lie there, decker is importing boots from China and claiming they're made in Australia. That is a plain "Lie"....
