    If anyone still believes that our leaders are sincere when they take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, they might want to read what they actually think of it, as if they haven't already made it clear already:

    "The National Archives Records Administration placed a “harmful content” warning on the Constitution, labeling the governing document of the United States as “harmful or difficult to view.” The warning applies to all documents across the Archives’ cataloged website, including the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence."

    Also interesting is that the same people have also declared that their own Rotunda that houses the Declaration of Independence, the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights – is an example of “structural racism” and that the Founding Fathers and other White, historically impactful Americans are portrayed too positively.

    Well for a good sized minority of Americans for more than half a century, indeed almost a century the constitution was not something to be proud off.

    What an asinine take. Is this sort of whining representative of modern conservatism? Is that why you guys voted for a ToughGuy? To protect you from the BigBadLiberals and our Critical Race Theory?

    The warning is a blanket header applied to everything in the Catalog section. FunFact, you can access the founding documents through other parts of the website that don't route you through the Catalog template and, thus, don't have the warning:
    America's Founding Documents
    The Declaration of Independence
    The Constitution of the United States
    The Bill of Rights

    It took me all of about 12 seconds to find that. In fact, I ran into the warning-free version first and had to dig a bit more for the version with the warning. But I suppose that doesn't align with the persecution narrative.

    Yes, it is interesting that our government is finally acknowledging the harmful nature of some of the language and ideas that it used in the past and continues to display. Do you have a problem with this?

    A grubby piece of misleading reporting designed to create moral indignation in the Federalist's more gullible readership.

    The warning applies to the Catalog as a whole. It does not specifically refer to your Constitution or Bill of Rights or any particular document.

    I know! Protection of free speech, freedom of the Press, freedom to peaceably assemble, no requirement to testify against oneself, being secure in your home against unreasonable search and seizure, right to representation when accused of a crime....
    I can see how this would be offensive to some people since it doesn't recognize the right to riot, loot, kill, or commit arson.

    And that Declaration of Independence! I mean, who wouldn't be offended by:
    "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

    How dare people want life, liberty or happiness! How offensive to be endowed by our creator with rights like that!

    This next part would certainly be offensive to those who want to "fundamentally transform" the country:
    "That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

    I'm guessing the preamble and the constitution itself is what they really want gone.
    The lame excuses are just the usual smoke and mirrors.

    That equality and those unalienable rights were so self-evident that they even generously allowed one fifth of Americans to be owed by the others as property. So they could provide them with life, liberty and happiness. Oh, and they didn't need to vote either. Nor did women. Nor did men who didn't own property.

    But please, tell me more about things that are or aren't offensive...

    Congratulations! You've just managed to lift a piece of intentionally provocative, tabloid 'journalism' to the status of a full blown conspiracy theory.

    Did you even bother to read the other posts? If you had, you would realise that the warning referred generally to the millions of documents in the Archives Catalog. It was not aimed specifically at the Constitution or the Bill of Rights nor is there mention of changing anything.

    Where brains are washed with lime and a scrub brush. Because, Oh no... not the "elderly" or the "handicapped" or (gasp) "illegal alien"... by all means let's come up with some more obfuscation so we can rewrite ALL of the dictionary entries and be so stuffed full of guile that even the most popular partisan won't be able to guess at what we mean.

    The warning labels... It's the old don't put the frog into boiling water, routine. Haven't you noticed yet, that this is how the game is played on America? First they slap warnings on stuff they're teaching the kids in government schools to dislike. Then they slide in a few more warnings, and turn the temperature up a notch or two. Then they come for your guns and drag the whole constitution away. By this time, the pot has boiled dry and the frog's being passed around as an appetizer for what comes next.

    It's always a good idea to read at least some of the other posts - especially those which disagree with the OP. That way you get a more balanced view.

    A little research also does no harm and may stop you from jumping to half-baked conclusions about conspiracies.
