Herein lies the problem. some SDA believe nonadventist live in darkness and they're in the light

but yet still........Attacking and name calling is not the way to have peaceful dialog. (primary objective of CF)
We all draw warnings and santions when we engage in a confrontational manner. (Forum's commandments seem quite reasonable )

It's a shame to accuse other churches of loving darkness because they dont embrace the sabbath issues as you do. You should hear their argument before accusing and misrepresenting what others believe.

The default is to run off or get nasty when you cant present truths.

Thats just a fact of our faith and how strongly we believe it to be truth. We don't (or shouldn't) mince words when speaking of our faith. We openly condemn the Papacy as the beast of Revelation, something all protestants did at one time, but it seems such statements are not ecumenical and politically correct today. We are to proclaim the second angels message which is to come out of the Babylonian churches, which are the Roman catholic church and her daughters the protestant churches.

These are the cold hard facts of our message and yes, we need to deliver it with the love of Christ as our example. He didn't mince words either when condemning the apostate system of worship in His day and neither should we. Giving the message with love, is not with a soft shoe approach, but in the desire to not see fellow men perish.

Believe it or not Crib, I try and present the SDA message because I love you and don't want to see you, or anyone else, perish. I know the other SDA members on here feel the same way I do....

I admit, that in my zeal for diseminating the truth, I get frustrated and lash out by the lack of fertile soil my words seem to fall onto but that is my prideful, carnal side and I pray continually to overecome that spirit.

Jesus' life is the manifestation of the Law. He magnified the law And restored honor to it by how he lived. Jesus is our example in how to live in light of the law. Jesus taught many times on how to keep the Sabbath. His teachings never did away with the Sabbath nor did he change of the day. What He did do is place needs necessary to life above the details of keeping the Sabbath. Jesus is our example in how to live according to the commandments. If we claim to ba christian We are to live as jesus lived. It's just that simple.

Well if its that simple why do you break the sabbath as well as the law? Huh?

Do you know how to keep the sabbath according to the teachings of Jesus? Do you know 1 John 1:9? Do you know we have an Advocate when we do sin?

Do you know how to keep the sabbath according to the teachings of Jesus?

With all sincerity, I genuinely do not know what this means. I acknowledge that I've heard this phrase before, but I truly don't understand it. Can you share what it means to keep the sabbath according to the teachings of Jesus?

The words of Jesus are the foundation of the new covenant.

John 12:47-48 "And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. "He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.

Not one time did we ever hear Jesus doing away with the Sabbath nor do we hear Him change the day. What we do hear is Jesus correcting all the misconceptions religious man had regarding keeping the Sabbath and needs pertaining to life.

Refer here for an in depth study.

Still not sure I'm following you here. Do you believe that -- in order to keep the sabbath according to the teachings of Jesus -- we should hear His words and believe? If so, because I hear the words of Jesus and believe, does it follow that I keep the sabbath according to the teachings of Jesus?

Are you appealing to "the teachings of Jesus" or "an argument from silence?" I truly don't understand what it means to keep the sabbath according to the teachings of Jesus.

Jesus openly and verbally corrected many faults in the corporate worship of the Jews during His ministry. He showed them the true meaning behind their worship and corrected their human constructs upon it.

So, what we are saying, BFA, is that Christ taught the observance of Sabbath and of keeping the other Commandments. He showed how it was lawful to do good on the Sabbath, He showed how the decalogue was based on, and to be kept, in love and not of fear and obligation.

If Jesus had meant the seventh day Sabbath to be annulled, He surely would have said something to that affect, would He not? Remember, the provisions of the covenant were made before His death and not added to afterwards.

Honestly, I don't know what you're referring to here. Can you offer some examples?

Where can I find this?

I don't think His intent was annullment. I think His intent was fulfillment. He made that pretty clear.

Remember, the provisions of the covenant were made before His death and not added to afterwards.

The covenant that was from Sinai was added way before His birth -- 430 years after Abraham, in fact -- and it endured until the Seed came.

You do have a Bible don't you? You do spend some time reading it don't you? Everything we say you have no idea where it is nor have you ever heard it before. I find that hard to believe. Is this just another tactic to wear out the saints?:doh::doh::doh::doh::doh::doh:

I do. That's why I was hoping you might point us toward something specific and then I could look it up for myself.

As I've studied this concept since you first raised it, I've found nothing in the Bible on "how to keep the sabbath according to the teachings of Jesus." If you do a search, I suspect that you won't find it either. However, since you coined the phrase, I'm sure you have something specific in mind. To move this discussion along, I hope you'll be willing to share some examples so all of us can better understand what you mean when you use this phrase.

Seems lika a reasonable approach to me.
