Actually he specifically named "white conservatives." He probably never considered that it is possible a higher percentage of "black liberals" are racists than "white conservatives." To me it doesn't matter what color or political persuasion racists are, I am flat out against racism. He wasn't talking about MAGAs generally, but a specific subset of of conservatives--who might not even be all of them supporters of MAGA.
Probably not just for the purpose or this discussion. On further reflection it would still seem highly unlikely, though.Actually he specifically named "white conservatives." He probably never considered that it is possible a higher percentage of "black liberals" are racists than "white conservatives."
You are certainly flat out against being considered a racist, I'll give you that.To me it doesn't matter what color or political persuasion racists are, I am flat out against racism.
Slavery is not a Judeo/Christian value. Slavery could be found world-wide going back long before Jesus walked on this earth. It was Judeo/Christian values within the Republican Party that led to Republicans abolishing slavery in the United States with Abraham Lincoln leading the way....like slavery...and (ironically enough) freedom.
Of course, slavery is not the same as racism.Slavery is not a Judeo/Christian value. Slavery could be found world-wide going back long before Jesus walked on this earth. It was Judeo/Christian values within the Republican Party that led to Republicans abolishing slavery in the United States with Abraham Lincoln leading the way.
He never said it was. He implied that slavery was somehow a Judeo/Christian value. That;s why I straightened him out. Many people are ignorant of the real history of our country.Of course, slavery is not the same as racism.
We e gotten to the point where I can’t tell what is sarcastic and what isn’t. These things seem obviously true.Give the guy a break. CRT has created even more evil that he hasn't gotten to yet. It teaches intersectionality. For example, that a black woman's experience of racism might be different than a black man's. It discusses the possibility that quite a bit of what is felt as racism is based on class rather than race. It even reveals that there are other aspects of racism, for example that blacks and Hispanics have racial issues.
A lot of aging white baby boomers are liberals, Democrats have kept that block in line by scaring them, telling them that Republicans want to take away their Social Security and Medicare. While there is racism inherent in DEI and CRT I would guess the majority of baby boomers are not subject to extensive academic instruction in those subjects. I can tell you that people are going to continue to fight back against being forced to accept racism:Is DEI the new "woke" and CRT? Just the latest in right wing scare words to make aging white baby boomers afraid of black and brown people?

That's not what restorative justice means. You give an example of restorative justice but that's not the definition. That's the opposite of the DEI taught in schools that so many of us oppose. In the real-life DEI they talk about equity and "restorative justice."
Equity and restorative justice mean making up for alleged discrimination, the ideology that kept top academic-achieving Asians out of our leading universities.

Sometimes parties stray far from their roots.Slavery is not a Judeo/Christian value. Slavery could be found world-wide going back long before Jesus walked on this earth. It was Judeo/Christian values within the Republican Party that led to Republicans abolishing slavery in the United States with Abraham Lincoln leading the way.
And there are racists who would love to see every black person shot. There are transgenders who don't stop at saying they want to be accepted and would like a sports team for transgenders that competes against other transgenders.
its really weird how you only give examples of m to f.That's acceptance. Insisting they changes in front of girls in girls locker rooms is pushing their beliefs on others--radical activism.
Sometimes parties stray far from their roots.
Democrats passed the Voting Rights Act in the 1960s and angry southerners fled to the Republican Party--because Democrats supported racial justice. And ever since 2013, our Republican Supreme Court justices gave hacked away at the Voting Rights Act, and with each hack, red southern states and remove voter protections. Did the Republican court-endorsed suppression laws result in enough suppression (1.6%) to move an election?
I guess Lincoln, after hugging Jimmy Carter abd saying, "Welcome, friend," is rolling over in his grave at how his party has changed.
Joe Biden, who opposed busing black children to white schools, remained a Democrat. So did many others. Joe stood with one of the KKK leaders when he opposed busing. My mom never forgot arriving to her elementary school one morning and the American flag had been taken down and the KKK flag raised. Don't forget too that one of the leaders that Democrats today still adore FDR, a man who imprisoned American citizens of Japanese ancestry. Lincoln today would be proud the Republicans are speaking out and trying to rid our government of racism. Your history seems rather twisted. A higher percentage of Republicans voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 than did Democrats. Senator Bryd, the Democrat that Joe Biden stood with to stop the busing of black children to white schools, tried to stop it and spoke for over 14 hours.Sometimes parties stray far from their roots.

Sadly the human race has a history of slavery and fighting and persecution amongst different cultures. The United States, and other countries like Great Britain and Mexico were leaders in abolishing slavery. The United States eventually became known as the "melting pot." We as a nation reached the point where people like Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey and Tiger Woods became successful in areas previously dominated by whites. Unfortunately the ideology of victimhood along with DEI and CRT, much pushed by the Democratic Party leadership, have resulted in a step backwards. The Biden administration has been a nightmare for civil rights, the border policies have greatly increased human trafficking with so many migrants ending up in indentured servitude or slavery. President Trump and his supporters continue to ask for cooperation in rescuing the hundreds of thousands of trafficked women and children, but are being opposed by Democrat leaders in sanctuary areas. Urge your leaders to help. The U.S. has a sad history of human rights violations. In addition to slavery, every immigrant group that has ever come to our country has been persecuted to a degree.
Right now, I am saddened that after decades of moving towards enlightenment, America seems to be doubling down on discrimination towards people of color and other minority groups.
While I admire your strong research skills in finding aberrations in otherwise pretty spotless records, I suggest we work towards fairness and inclusion in our society.
And they are. The question is why do white people have to understand it if it doesn't affect them.We e gotten to the point where I can’t tell what is sarcastic and what isn’t. These things seem obviously true.
