  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have a couple of requests.  :)

1.) My great-aunt Barbara will be having surgery on her hip on Friday, so prayers that the surgery will be successful and that she will heal quickly would be appreciated.

2.) Another great-aunt of mine, Ethel, was diagnosed with colon cancer today.  So prayers for her, and her doctors, and her health, and her immediate family as they deal with this.

:pray: Lord, I pray today for Barbara and Ethel, two of Your sheep who are being challenged with health issues.

If it is Your will, let these two women receive Your strength to endure the challenges that lie ahead.  Touch the medical providers' hearts and minds, direct them to where they need to go to provide the treatments that will be best for Barbara and Ethel.

I know You will be with the families at this trying time, but please also lead them to lean and depend on one another.  Let Your will be done.

Thank you, Lord.  I love You.
