What saith the Scriptures? And since I believe in the sovereignty of God; He will save His people from their sin and nothing either of us say will deter that from happening!
Yes, what say the Scriptures.....What saith the Scriptures?
This is what you have been avoiding over your cries of how you believe God should be.
Why let Scripture ruin a perfectly good delusion?Eternal life is only for those who abide in Christ. Remember, 1 John 5:12 says he that has the Son has life, and he that does not have the Son does not have life. 1 John 2:3-4 lays out the conditions on testing to see if you are abiding in the Son correctly or not. 1 John 2:3 says we can have an assurance that we know the Lord if we find we are keeping His commandments. 1 John 2:4 says that the person who says they know the Lord and they do not keep His commandments is a liar and the truth is not in them. Meaning, Jesus (who is eternal life) is not in them, and they are not saved. For Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
It doesn't mean you can sin with impunity. You would know that if you read the NT honestly. What does it mean for Christ to atone for sin?
James 5:19-20Yes, what say the Scriptures.....
You can't save me.
You need to restudy His Word by the Anointing (1 John 2:27), and not let church traditions or man’s teachings get in the way of your believing God’s Word. You need to accept what Scripture actually says vs. what you prefer it to say. Your replies are evidence that you currently do not want to deal with what the text actually says. You need to learn to let things go and let God deal with it.
feel like you won an argument..... apparently. You need to
I never said it meant I can sin with impunity. And my sins have already been judged in Christ. So yes, I consider myself very "lucky".It doesn't mean you can sin with impunity. You would know that if you read the NT honestly.
God will judge your sins. Good luck with that.
You can lead a horse to water ...James 5:19-20
19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

False doctrines produce fake Christians. You cannot honestly say you are doing what Jesus says if you are basically stating that you are breaking his commandments (sin) with the thinking you are saved. Sin is the breaking of God’s laws or commandments (See: 1 John 3:4)
Be not deceived. The unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God.feel like you won an argument..... apparently.
If you believe God is sovereign; than get out of His way. Let Him do His job.
OK?? Can you do that??
Sin with impunity is exactly what one believes if they hold to the view that future sin is forgiven them. You yourself agreed with John Piper that when he sins but he does not have them anymore because they are not on him because of his belief in Christ. John Piper says, I still do them, but I don’t have them anymore. Meaning, he still sins and he does not have them. He is sinning with impunity and you agreed with him.I never said it meant I can sin with impunity.
This is sinning with impunity. And my sins have already been judged in Christ. So yes, I consider myself very "lucky".
Chapter and verse please. Are you another one who just needs to rest in God's sovereignty for other people's lives and get out of God's way?
Dudes - Let go and let God! But.... I suppose you can't do that.Sin with impunity is exactly what one believes if they hold to the view that future sin is forgiven them. This is sinning with impunity.
Again, your belief is the lie repeated by the serpent to Eve in the garden in that the serpent told Eve that if she broke God’s command she would not die. You are believing this same lie by the serpent back in the Garden. You have bought into the lie of the devil. Only the devil desires you to sin. 1 John 3:8 says he that commits sin is of the devil. Be not deceived, the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God. If a Christian is in the sin that God attaches with warnings of hellfire or condemnation, then they are not going to enter the Kingdom of God. They will be destroyed in the Lake of Fire.
Fear the LORD!
Chapter and verse please.
If Jesus paid the penalty for all your sins, how do you make sense of this verse? ...Dudes - Let go and let God! But.... I suppose you can't do that.
See, what you are doing is letting your thoughts or the man made thoughts of others rule your thinking. There is no Scripture verse that even says, ”Let go and let God!” You are not following the God of the Bible, but your own thoughts about God.Dudes - Let go and let God! But.... I suppose you can't do that.
The word “dude” insulting when used with a general audience;Dudes -
This sounds like the exact opposite of what the Bible says.Let go and let God! But.... I suppose you can't do that.
Do you want a serious answer to this; or are you just looking to argue your beliefs? If Jesus paid the penalty for all your sins, how do you make sense of this verse? ...
"I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things (sin) shall not inherit the kingdom of God." (Gal 5:21)
Romans 8:28There is no Scripture verse that even says, ”Let go and let God!”
Am I correctly assuming here that you at least understand you still sin? If you understand that believes will never been sinless this side of the grave; then we are on the same page here.I am a sinner.
Romans 8:28 says,Romans 8:28
