TV Theme Songs

Seems like the "theme song", according to what I'm hearing, is becoming extinct -- in order to make more time for advertising.

Let's use this thread to discuss TV theme songs -- some of the classics that are just as memorable as the programs themselves.

"Happy Days" is my all-time favourite.
I also like the "Mirror Mirror" theme song(an Australian/New Zealand kids show).

I am a HUGE "I Love Lucy" fan, so any time I hear the theme sone, I run to the TV. It always puts me in a good mood. I really Liked "Wings" too, nice song, no corny person singing!!

Shucks.... there are MANY theme songs that I like. I think, however, that the Doc (Billy Ray Cyrus) theme song is nice because it's inspirational.

I still like the 7th Heaven theme song, even though the show itself is going to pot....

The Gilligan's Island theme is catchy (the one that includes the Professor and Mary Anne).

And I really enjoy JAZZY theme songs.

The list goes on and on and on.....

"NYPD Blue" very inventive, distinctive, mood changes in music at start
"Monk" first season's guitar solo that reminds me of Chuck Atkins
"WKRP in Cincinnati" lively, upbeat
"Cheers" perfect fit for the show
"Iron Chef" this Japanese made classic had great themes from "Backdraft"
"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" there are many original mood pieces within each segment, very well done.


Anybody else familiar with any of these?
