Turtles!?!

Red eared sliders get to be quite large. The turtle I have was the size of a dollar coin when I got it....now it's shell and belly are larger than my hand with my fingers spread out! It doesn't like the floating sticks too much, it prefers dried shrimp. You can get them from a pet food store...they are orange in color and come in a little plastic container.

I just got a box turtle a few weeks ago for my classroom at school. I named him Elvis. So far he's a little shy, but hopefully he'll start...um...coming out of his shell.
