  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Pray about it...if God wants you to be there, then he will put you there. you cant lean on yourself and your wants for that. if you are totally broke, God will provide...if that is where you are supposed to be, if he doenst, then obveously he would like you to be somewhere else...thats the way i decided it, and that view has really changed my life, and my outlook toward the in state college i am going to now.

Definetly talk to the financial aid office and see what schloarships are available, and what kinds of loans you can apply for.

Also check around in your local community for churches or community groups that give out scholarships. They're usually fairly small but still every bit counts.

look into loans, grants, scholarships. try working during the summer and maybe try to find a job that you can do up there. take a light class load the first sem to help keep tution down, and if you need to work you will not kill yourself working, doing homework and class plus a social life.

There are many options to help with finances- here's a few more ideas I don't think anyone has posted yet.

Could you work part time while you are in school? That always helps with expenses like groceries, phone bill, etc.

Are you from Ontario? If so.... OSAP! (otherwise look into your own province's government financial aid)

Also, can you get a bank loan? Many banks have a "student line of credit" and all you really need is a co-signer (my dad co-signed mine) and proof of registration.

Sometimes churches are willing to give you a loan or a donation... there's no harm in asking!

If this is truly where God wants you to be, He will make it happen. I'm not saying it'll be easy, and that it will all just *poof* appear! You need to do some work too :) But if you do your part, God will do His.

I know that Heritage has several jobs available for their students, as well as being near a grocery store and several other stores that always have jobs available for students. As well, do you plan to attend Heritage Live! Because I think it only costs about $30 but you get a $500 scholarship just for going if you attend Heritage afterwards. Heritage also has a lot of other scholarships.
Plus, a lot of churches put funds aside for student's going into ministry or to bible college, so you might want to look into that.
Hope this helps
