Was hoping to be pregnant by my birthday...but AF is due 2 days after so...bring on the next cycle!

i went to the gyno today.... finally!!!! we are starting from scratch and running a bunch of tests and i have to go back next week for an ultrasound... so, after we get all the results back we will know the direction to take in this whole process... im glad its finally starting!!!

this question is for all of you, im not trying to get in your business, but when TTC how often do you "do it" every other day.. more, less? just curious...

i've always heard and been told that it's best to do it every other day. Because honestly, doing it too much can be bad, because for some men, they need some time to build up their supply.. lol If you are constantly doing "it" then it can actually decrease your chances due to.. the amounts of sperm. And it's not a big deal, because supposedly.. live sperm can stay in you system up to 5 days I believe.. and so.. if you don't do it exactly ON the day of ovulation.. then you are still ok. I'm sure for some men, everyday is fine.. but this is soemthing I've been told for the past 4 years. When we are actively trying.. we only do it every other day. But since we've had so many problems.. we just decided that we wouldn't worry about it.. have fun and let it happen when God wants it to happen.. and I am planning on going to the doctor soon, but we want to make sure everything is secure in our relationship.

They are probably doing an ultrasound to see if you have pcos.. and maybe some other things. A friend of mine had pcos.. and once they got that under control... they got pregnant within a couple of months.. after trying for two years. I've never had an ultrasound, so I'm sorry i can't tell you about the process.

Did they tell you to drink a lot and not use the bathroom? That's what they always tell me, it gives them better pictures on the ultrasound. It doesn't hurt at all, they just take some jelly stuff on your stomach and take this wand and move it around on your stomach (pretty far south though since they will be looking at your uterus) and look at the screen.

yes, i have to drink a lot of water and not go to the bathroom.

so, does this mean, they don't stick a camera up my you know what, it just stays on my tummy???

Precisely. They only probe around on your stomach, on the outside. It is not uncomfortable at all.

I HATE waiting on my period to come. I have decided just to assume it is going to come no matter what. That way I'm not dissappointed if it comes, and happy if it doesnt. What do y'all think?

This may be TMI (TooMuchInformation) but I'll ask anyway...have any ladies out there experienced tiny sharp stabbing pains along the bikini/pubic line(the place between 'tummy' and 'pubic mound') after sex?

no, i have pain but not like you are explaining, what do you think is causing yours? have you asked the doctor? does it happen every time?

No it only happen for the first time last night Haven't seen a doc because it was probably a one off, if it happens again I will though

little pains and things like that happen all the time.. If they are not persistant you most likely dno't have anything to worry about. I get a sharp pain in another private area sometimes.. to where it's so sensitive I can't even go to the bathroom without the sharp pain. Sorry if that was TMI. But it's only h appened a couple of times.. and it doesn't last a long time. I wouldn't worry, if it happens a lot see the doctor. If it's just a couple of times.. I might bring it up at my next appointment but not anything emergency.

I thought it'd be good to have a place for all of us currently Trying To Concieve or planning to TTC, or even thinking about TTC; to just chat, ask for help and offer advice without having to start another topic or hijack others o) Also any ladies out there who have already been there, anyone who can offer advice, words of wisdom or just to let us know others have come out the side smiling...would be great
