CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Some of these Christmas messages I’m seeing aren’t right. The right message is what you & God want are different & God knows what’s best for you

There are still things to do, and we can give our attention and effort to those things that are important to us. This culture is far too focused on getting sexual involvement with someone, it is no surprise serious issues in the world are not being taken care of. Maybe someone seeing the same things and caring to do what can be done about those, who will be right, will be found along this way, but it would be with us doing what we see we should about those.

I found that being creative, with the ways found possible for that, as far as it can be done, is a release and purpose can be found in that. And it is rewarding to have others express their like and interest in what is created this way.
