  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have been married to my husband for 7 years now. we married after two months of dating and had our daughter a year later. We have a good marriage. The only problem is that I can't trust him. I tell him I do, but deep down I know I don't. He has never cheated on me that I know of, even though I always question whether or not he has. He tends to have a lot of female friends. They do not call him or anything, but any female that talks to my husband sends red flags up in my head. I know this is probably a little too extreme, but i do not know how to trust him. I always seem to think something or someone is out to destroy my marriage. Why do I tend to wait for him to cheat? Is this normal? How do I loosen up before I push him away with my fears? How can I trust a man that has never done anything to make me not trust him? I always seem to be waiting for the day my heart will be broken. I love him so much and have spent hours on my knees praying for my marriage. God has always pulled me through. Maybe it is my fear that we married so soon and he might have doubts about me. I talk to him about it and he always assures me he loves me and is glad we got married. Why must I prepare myself for something that God willing wil never happen?

Almighty God, our sister comes before You this day, her heart full of burdens and fears. Lord, lift her into Your Gracious Presence. Let her find peace from these troubles. My Lord, You and You alone are able to take from her the anxiety and the worries of her marriage. Let her no longer seek to hold on to this, but to let go not only her marriage, but her life, knowing that You are able to lead her and guide her. Father God, bless Your child this day. Let truth and understanding overflow in her life. Let strength and wisdom flourish. Lord God, by Your Grace, You have brought this man and this woman together, let Your Will be done in their lives. Let Your Hand lead them into a deeper relationship, one build on trust and on love. In the Glorious name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen
