Well, oddly enough, Trump doesn’t regularly attend Church, doesn’t ask forgiveness for his sins, and called Communion “a cracker and juice.” Not exactly an educated Christian theologian or role model. In my job and the professional roles I've had, there has been a LOT of people in my life who are hard to love (abusive parents, awful individuals, violent, hatefilled youth etc...), I have found that TRump has been the hardest person to feel love for.
Most of these difficult people were due to some really awful circumstances for them.
Trump's entire life has been spoonfed to him and he's never really had to take responsibility for anything. The fact that he is so awful but ALSO had such an incredibly "Blessed life" (or could have had one had he, you know, not tried to rape so many teenage girls), makes it hard for me to love him.
To be clear, I have been able to feel love for individuals who HAVE raped girls (Worked with them). It's easier to love the victims too, but even them I was able to find something in them. IT's just...I can't find it with Trump.
I think part of that also is due to an intense anger and frustration I can feel for him as he has clearly poisoned so many people's understanding of their loving God.
Jesus tells us to love our enemies.
Sometimes that can be very, very hard.
Peace
