Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals - Wikipedia
It is worthwhile at this point to note that both the OP and the largest segment of the vote are answering to the false narrative that DACA is about children born in America staying in America.
Deferred Action for Childhood arrivals means that the children arrived in America after being born somewhere else.
Children born in America are American citizens. American citizens don't get deported, for to deport people born in America to their country of origin means in effect to deport people back to America.
What is basically an emotional response does not require facts though, as has been pointed out so often in the past.
This is an another example of this.
What about those Americans that employed them?
We may hate Trump's rhetoric, but Clinton would not have effected this possible change. Clinton would have already been defending DACA in court, as Trump would have had to do if he didn't end the temporary solution. Trump chose negotiation.
I really don't understand the discussion.
Those are innocent children. Throw them under the wheels of the Trump Train. A prison or a ticket to equador or whatever hellhole this spawn crawled out of is too good for them, they should be thrown into guantanamo bay with the other terrorists.
Or just execute them. Remember Matthew 19:14.
I don't think we can honestly expect the scripture you cited, or any scripture with instructions on how the followers of Jesus are to treat other people, to actually matter in this thread considering all of the apathetic responses from the right wing Christians who disgracefully want to throw these innocent children under the wheels of the Trump Train. Jesus' Parable of the Sheep and the Goats (Matthew 25:31-46) has already been mentioned twice in this thread and it was pretty much ignored, expect for one response that dismissed it. If I may say so, I think it's very disheartening to see this kind of apathy and uncompassionate attitude from these right wing Christians toward these innocent children.
Proposals for E-verify legislation and the like specifically target illegally hiring, and puts the onus on the businesses that take advantage of the flood of cheap labor without the rights that citizenship confers upon legitimately documented workers. What about those Americans that employed them?
I hate that passage. Goats are awesome.Jesus' Parable of the Sheep and the Goats (Matthew 25:31-46) has already been mentioned twice in this thread and it was pretty much ignored, expect for one response that dismissed it.
I hate that passage. Goats are awesome.
The OP isn't referring to children born in the US, who are indeed US citizens according to the 14th Amendment. It's referring to illegal immigrants who came to this country when they were under 18 years old.
They could still stay in the USA and panhandle on the streets. But I was referring to the children of those dreamers. I understand that many of the dreamers are now in their 20s and 30s, so many of them would have kids of their own...born in the USA.
So, not only does this action of Trump's serve to remove nearly a million very worthwhile and productive people from your society, it would also involve the forced removal of legal US citizens, through no fault of their own.
How crazy is that...?
What a load of unsubstantiated, unproven horse radish.
