Hi bekkilyn,

Thanks for your response. You responded:

Right. The Scriptures do give us quite a lot of information about the end times. Just as the Scriptures gave the Jews quite a lot of information about Jesus' first coming. They didn't recognize their Messiah and so it's entirely possible that a lot of christians won't recognize the last days are upon us, until Jesus steps out to call those who are his out of danger's way. But I believe that God has given us signs to make us aware of these things coming. Even his disciples asked him about the signs that would precede the last days.

Jesus replied that there would be wars and rumors of war. We have a lot of that today. In the last ten years, the world has been involved in literally dozens of wars. Some large and participated in by many nations. Some small and only between one nation and another. Certainly we have rumors of war. Right now there are rumors of war concerning Iran, N. Korea, Venezuela. Over those same past ten years there have been rumors of war between Israel and her neighbors. Various African nations and Russia and her neighbors.

So, I think that the discerning believer might consider that we certainly have more active wars and rumors of war, than we've ever had.

Daniel spoke of a 'covenant' to be made and most scholars seem to believe that this covenant will be some sort of peace accord with Israel. Ok, right now we have this administration making a big deal that the 'greatest peace agreement that has ever been made' is soon coming.

The Scriptures tell us that this beast to come will rise up out of the sea. Most scholars believe that this reference of rising up out of the sea, means that he/it will come up out of the peoples of the earth. Ok, the U.S. has, for about the last 300 years, been built from peoples of practically all the nations of the earth. We are the most war mongering nation upon the earth. We try, through the power of our money, to control many, many nations of the earth. These could well be clear signs that we are the beast! We are doing everything within our power to at least make it seem like we are the rulers of the world. Trying to tell many, many of the other nations upon the earth what they can and can't do. Certainly as one looks upon all the nations of the earth, we could easily be seen as the most beastly of them.

I'm certainly not making any sure claim that America is the beast or that Donald Trump is the false prophet. I'm merely making people aware that these understandings 'could' be correct. As we watch them unfold we need to just have an eye on the prophecies of the Scriptures. One day, I do know that the prophecies of the Scriptures will come to fruition. I do believe that just as with Israel and her Messiah, God has given the born again believer today plenty of signs to know that the last days are upon us. Jesus even said to his disciples, "When you see all these things come to pass...know that your redemption draws nigh." So, I think Jesus certainly expected us to be watching for the fulfillment of the 'signs' that are found in God's word.

I'm just watching.

God bless,
In Christ, ted

Or anyone else, for that matter.

All that counts is that this affords the committed critics of the President one more opportunity to make something out of nothing.

Hi albion,

Yes, and President Trump is certainly the best of all past presidents in 'affording the committed critics of the President one more opportunity to make something out of 'nothing'. However, I'm not sure that's all that counts. It also affords those committed to the President to show their very great support.

God bless,
In Christ, ted

I've been watching Trump's behavior with Israel with a great deal of interest due to these prophecies. I have no doubt that if the Temple were to be rebuilt after such a peace was in place that Trump would insist on barging right into the Holy of Holies.

Hello miamited. I politely suggest that the last 70 years are the most peaceful in human history by objective measures. On a per capita basis at least, the workd is getting dramatically more peaceful over recent decades.

I think the “rumours of war” stuff was a reference to events of the first century.

trump had a biden moment. lol.

Yes, and people are pretending to be so breathlessly outraged that they have forgotten about the true impact of this tragedy.

I saw a video on youtube today regarding a reporter in the Bahamas. It wasn't easy to get in, and it was a seasoned reporter that has seen to much as far as I'm concerned for his job (war, genocide, other tragedies) . He was barely keeping it together with what he saw. For someone that has seen many ugly parts of human nature? For him to crumble like that you knew it wasn't staged for angle he might have been instructed to see, but from a very human one - and terrified side.

I didn't pay much attention to the story in question. I was more worried about the people on the island. I was happy my nephew's base was allowed them to evacuate if you are not essential personnel, and we could get plane ticket to him after our address was approved. I know the cleanup afterwards once he returns isn't going to be pretty. Who knows at this point who they will send to the Bahamas. People that are sent there are going to suffer too. That was clear that this wasn't just ugly, but super ugly that they will face. That island and those that help them will never be the same.

The biden moment? It will be forgotten. From the sound of it you comment was RIGHT on though!

Prayers going to the people on that island and their loved ones. Prayers for those that go there to help, and those that survived. They will all need it.

It wouldn't even matter if he was right or wrong at the time. His behaviour since then is what is so clearly wrong. It's like if the captain of the Titanic wanted to stand there & fight that he was right about the weather after they'd already hit the iceberg & people had already drowned. Like focus on what actually matters & not your own ego.

First of all, it was a Trump moment, not a "biden moment". Second, would it be better if Trump went to the Bahamas and threw paper towels at the victims? Would that make everything better? (that's a reference to yet another Trump moment)

18 U.S. Code § 2074. False weather report

"Whoever knowingly issues or publishes any counterfeit weather forecast or warning of weather conditions falsely representing such forecast or warning to have been issued or published by the Weather Bureau,
United States Signal Service, or other branch of the Government service, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ninety days, or both."

1) Trump cancelled his trip to Poland on the pretext that he wanted to spent the weekend keeping abreast of the threat posed by Hurricane Dorian - between rounds of golf!

2) Given that the National Weather Bureau and Hurricane Center are in a position to update this President as often as necessary, there is absolutely no excuse for him not to be informed of any changes in this Hurricane Dorian's projected path!

3) There also is no legitimate reason for this President to engage in creating his own weather map based on "alternate facts," especially after the Alabama Weather Bureau informed the White House on Sunday September 1st minutes after Trump had misinformed the American public that Alabama was on Dorian's projected path!

4) On Wednesday September 4th, this President repeated the same false Alabama projection from the Oval Office illustrated by a White House version of the National Weather Bureau map based on August 29th data - when questioned by the Press as to the source of the "bogus" map Trump feigned ignorance!

5) Saven days is a lifetime in the meteorological projection of hurricane pathways and this President, with all the resources at his disposal, has no credible excuse for misinforming the American public - a felony under 18 U.S. Code § 2074. False weather report!

6) "The Donald!" could always forgo his rounds of golf for the next year and become the 1st American President to start repaying his debt to society by serving his 90 days of jail time on weekends - perhaps he could share a cell with Michael Cohen or Paul Manafort given that Jeffery Epstein is no longer available!

Trump said ‘almost all models predicted’ Dorian would hit Alabama. He’s wrong.

Presumably this President and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross have identified the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) as part of the "DEEP STATE" and have threatened reprimands and firings for those responsible for contradicting "The Forecaster-and-Chief's" version - no matter how incorrect it may be or how many American lives it may place in jeopardy!

Given the current "politicalization" of weather forecasting in "The People's Republic of Trump," American's can now sleep at night, secure in the knowledge that the "National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration" is being purged of "malcontents" and that their beloved President is working tirelessly in the Oval Office creating his own weather maps based on his alternate interpretation of the facts!
