Trump reveals top terrorist behind Abbey Gate attack apprehended, facing 'swift sword of American justice'
President Donald Trump revealed that the top terrorist suspect behind the 2021 Abbey Gate attack in Afghanistan that killed 13 U.S. service members has been apprehended.

"Tonight, I am pleased to announce that we have just apprehended the top terrorist responsible for that atrocity. And he is right now on his way here to face the swift sword of American justice," Trump revealed during his speech before a joint Congress.

The suspect was identified as Muhammed Sharifullah, Fox News confirmed.
"And I want to thank, especially, the government of Pakistan for helping arrest this monster," he said. "This was a very momentous day for those 13 families, who I actually got to know very well."

The Biden administration’s chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan led to the deaths of 13 U.S. service members — eleven Marines, one Navy corpsman and one sailor — defending the Kabul airport, while hundreds of Americans and tens of thousands of Afghan allies were left in the country under Taliban rule. At least 170 Afghan civilians were injured in the attack.

Conservative critics, such as Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said the withdrawal paved the way for adversaries such as Russia to invade Ukraine.

The Taliban claimed control of Afghanistan following the withdrawal.

"I spoke to many of the parents and loved ones, and they're all in our hearts tonight," Trump said. "I spoke to them on the phone. We had a big call. Every one of them called. And everybody was on the line and they did nothing but cry with happiness. They were very happy. As happy as you can be under those circumstances. Their child, brother, sister, son, daughter was killed for no reason whatsoever."

I suppose the "chaos" was the reason why Trump lacked the courage to pull out of Afghanistan during his term--although he had promised to do so.
Biden was able to make the tough decision because he has character. He knew war us not a reality show. You do the right thing, without worrying about ratings.

Do you NOT understand what a complete FAILURE was of the very weak way Biden administration retreated out of Afghanistan? Biden did NOT make a tough decision. Biden did NOT display courage. Instead, he display weakness.

So you are saying Trump's "inaction" (despite his promise to leave) was better than Biden's action? He gave Americans there six month's notice.
When Trump speaks, I presume the opposite is the truth (based on experience).
Remember, Biden is not driving 3 million from their homelands to build a resort! Talk about cruelty!

You really don't understand just how much of a failure in the eyes of the American people, and in the eyes of the world, was the extremely weak manner in which Joe Biden caused our military to retreat from Afghanistan while at the same time leaving behind billions of dollars worth of American military equipment. As for the Gazans, it is because of the savages of Hamas that their homes have been reduced to rubble. Why in the world would anyone want to return to cities that has been turned into rubble?

Wow, it was the fault of the Israelis who, to avenge the deaths of 1300 and captivity of 300, launched an obscenely disproportionate response, killing 45000, reducing their territory to rubble, starving and displacing millions, half children under 18.
I cannot engage in the self-delusion it would take to blame Hamas.
All I can compare it to is Flip Wilson's skit, "the devil made me do it." But Netanyahu is evil, not funny.

Once again, you have tried to change the topic of the thread. But, you continue to ignore the FACTS that it was the savages of Hamas that started this war against Israel decades ago. If the USA was under constant missiles and rocket attacks from across our borders, what response from the USA would meet your approval???

Vambram, it was you who made the claim that the victims of a savage genocide had themselves to blame. Such a claim cannot go uncorrected.
I initially addressed Trump's failure to leave Afghanistan as cowardice and indecision.
Compounded by his deporting refugees with temporary protected status. Does that include the Afghani refugees, many of whom aided America during the long war? I will check with my friend in refugee resettlement who is busy dealing with the human tragedies caused by Trump policies.

The only people there who have been attempting genocide are the savages of Hamas. Those savages have been attempting to kill the Jews in Israel for decades.
President Trump laid out a series of benchmarks for the Taliban to do in order for the withdrawal of American military. BUT the Taliban failed in fulfilling their end of the agreement. Then, after the very weak Joe Biden became president, he demonstrated pure and complete weakness in front of the entire world. Joe Biden is the one who displayed the cowardice of weakness. Joe Biden is the one who left billions of dollars of American military equipment in the hands of the Taliban. Everything that you are blaming Trump for is instead actually what Joe Biden himself did.

This probably means that they had him in their crosshairs for a bit and decided to do it now for publicity.

I doubt many people remember the Abbey Gate attack. I do remember that the USA retaliated by blowing up some children.

Let's hope they got the right guy this time.
