That IS good news.
(Alice Marie Johnson was sentenced to life in prison in 1996 on non-violent drug charges.)
Life in prison???!!!
Seriously???!!!
These people [drug dealers] kill thousands of people over the course of their lives through drugs. So we're going to have to get much, much tougher in terms of penalty. And if you want to stop it — if you look at certain countries where they have, as an example, the death penalty, and say, 'How's your drug problem?' And they will tell you, 'We don't have much of a drug problem.'
Yes VERY SERIOUSLY. Do you know how many lives are LOST to drugs each day? Drug pushers/dealers should face the highest capital punishment in every country.
You might want to research Alice Marie Johnson and what she has been involved with, in her 22 years in prison, and why there's been advocacy groups working on her behalf. Thank GOD for His grace.
God bless you brother.
so why bother to punish anyone for any crimes?
so why bother to punish anyone for any crimes? You reasoning is faulty! Maybe there will be no punishment for sinners either
Trump’s just trying to win over black evangelicals .( we’ve seen the viper for what it is though) Even though ms Johnson didn’t deserve life in jail
I agree with this part of what you posted.didn’t deserve life in jail
In the case of drug offenses, there was no actual crime committed.

My meaning is that while it's illegal, it's not a crime in my view. People want to buy drugs, others make them and sell them to supply that demand. No ones rights are violated hence no crime.the link in the OP says, "she was convicted of being part of a drug-smuggling ring". Is this no longer a crime?
