On Saturday, Mr. Trump played golf with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan at two of his courses in South Florida: 18 holes at the Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, and nine more at the Trump International Golf Club in nearby West Palm Beach. On Sunday, he returned, without Mr. Abe, to the club in West Palm Beach for five hours.

Yes, but that wasn't just insult: it was financial frustration. It was also justified.

America was in DEBT because of wars and financial uncertainty in the bush administration. Obama HAD to spend MORE money to stabilize what economy we had left.

Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve kept (and still keeps) interest rates artificially low, causing a depression (it was a depressioj, not a recession - only by technicality was it a recession.)

So, of course Obama would call out Bush for 1) creating a deficit out of an inaugural SURPLUS, and 2) dropping the deficit on him.

Other people often FORGET about why the deficit came about for Obama - or they ignore it completely. Bush did the best hat trick of turning a surplus into a deficit.

Obama was left to fix the mess...

Horrible example, but proponents of the argument have been saying it since Obama was in office. The silliness of it all needs to stop; it is just blatantly incorrect.

I'm not seeing the problem. It makes sense to do a hobby that the Prime Minister would enjoy doing during his visit - sometimes it's just a dinner, sometimes it's golfing. I saw comments on this on twitter. Seriously not getting what the issue is.

...you mean apart from his swearing he wouldn't be the kind of President that plays golf while he's President? Or the part where he railed on the last President for doing what he's doing? Or the part where this President is making a lot of money from doing this while the last one didn't? Apart from those points, right?

I never saw where he wouldn't play golf, especially in business meetings with clients. He emphasized he wouldn't vacation as much as some presidents, but a golf game does not make a full fledged vacation.
