So NASA is planning on first setting off earthquakes at strategic archaeological locations so that people will uncover (faked) evidence that their religions are false. This will then lead to phase two where massive holograms will appear in the sky and this "new god" will communicate with us telepathically (using mind altering energy waves) to tell us our religions are false. These same mind-altering waves can also induce a form a "mind-control" that will leave us vulnerable. We will then be tricked into starting a nuclear war and we will beg anyone (presumably the new messiah) to come save us. And the cost of being saved will be our freedom.

Honestly, giant holographic images of Donald Trump appearing in our skies and talking directly to our minds sounds like a horrible horrible nightmare.
