8 Love never fails. God is love.
As far as us humans go ... we are incapable of true love ... that is why we must forgive one another as "our love" will fail at times. So be strong in the Lord and find someone who is also strong in the Lord as well as that is the foundation for the best relationship we can have with one another.

I do believe true love exists, but it's not always easy to find. True, genuine love to me is not self-seeking, but is giving, unconditional, patient and keeps no record of wrongs. Love like that comes from God Himself, and I do believe that only someone who has a close walk with the Lord has such a love to offer.

The only true love comes from God. The closer that I get to God the more that I see my failure to love God as I should. Thus, I spend hours each day in communion with God in hopes that his Spirit, which lives within, can lead me to love as we are called.
As for my wife, God has blessed me with a woman perfect for me. I love her more than myself and respect her right to be who she is and not what my idea may be. We each enjoy being together but don't enjoy the same things all of the time. So, we each do those things individually.
It's worked for 30 years and gets better all the time.
