May God bless you all.
And may His love shine upon you.

I just went to christian chat. A poor lad on there is worried he might not be saved because he committed a wilfull sin. As a christian counsellor said to me.
I know. It happens all the time. We are to lift up those who are weak in the faith, not confuse them with bad doctrine.

Romans 15:1-2
1
Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves. 2 Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.

I have a very sad look on my face because I've heard this happen over and over.

The other one is that people are afraid to give their lives to Christ at all because they do not ever believe that they will be able to live up to God's standards.

Have they ever met us before Christ? No.

No one talks about what a train wreck we were before Christ. It's a sad thing. Very sad.

A person can get right with God thru confessing and forsaking sin (Proverbs 28:13).

Also, see 1 John 1:9 and 1 John 1:7.

Believing on Jesus as your Savior is not going to cut it. For the demons also believe and tremble (James 2:19).

For did not David confess his sins before God and ask for a clean heart and a right spirit and plead not to God the Father not to take His Holy Spirit from him? (Psalm 51).

He if faithful and just to forgive us our sins IF.... IF.... we confess our sins. Anyways, I have already explained 1 John 1:8 here:

I'm not talking about the verse.

I am talking about how you set the bar to be no sin. Like that is the end all to be all. Is that what Jesus does? Set the bar at no sin or did He die to forgive us our sin?

But Jesus never set that bar, because Jesus will forgive us our sin. When Jesus forgives sin He casts it out, never to be spoken of again.

So who values not sinning? You or Jesus?

What about love?

What did Jesus Christ say that the two commandments are that fulfill all of the Law?

But demons are not offered forgiveness for their sin through Jesus Christ, are they?

Because the demons even though they believe will reside in the Lake of Fire, won't they?

Demons are not the discussion. God has already placed His righteous judgement on them.

We, He offers His Beloved Son to die.

It is tragic isn't it. Peoples lives may be in the most desperate state but they would never consider turning to God for they know they could never be good enough.
But God doesn't want people who think they can be good enough. He wants people who will acknowledge they cannot be good enough. People who will praise him and worship him for his unfailing love shown by him sending his son to die for undeserving sinners

I did not set the bar for there to be no sin. Jesus did. He said to the woman caught in the act of adultery to: "sin no more."

If a girl says, no. It means no and not yes. The same applies to Jesus. If he says no to us sinning, then that is exactly what it means.

Also, not all sin leads unto spiritual death whereby it needs to be confessed so as to be forgiven, either. For there are sins that lead unto spiritual death and sins that do not lead unto spiritual death (See 1 John 5:16-18). For example: The Command of Baptism is not a salvation issue (if one does not obey it). Granted, it is highly recommened that one should be baptized but Peter makes the point that baptism is not done for salvation (1 Peter 3:21). Oh, and yes. I have been baptized. Anyways, there are commands by God that if disobeyed will lead to unpleasant circumstances in the afterlife. For example: In Matthew 6:15, Jesus says if you do not forgive, then you will not be forgiven by the Father. I see nowhere in Scripture elshwere that this Command has been abrogated or destroyed later on. On the contrary, Paul essentially says if any man speaks contrary to the words of Jesus Christ and the doctrine of Godliness, he is proud and he knows nothing (1 Timothy 6:3-4).

But are demons trusting in the shed blood of Christ to attain heaven?

Your argument is not with me, but it is with James (James 2:19). He said we are justified by works (James 2:17). Granted, James is not talking about man directed works and James is not talking about a Salvation by Works alone program (Like the Pharisees falsely believed), either. James is talking about how if one truly has God in their life (who is the source of a person's life or salvation), then the fruit of the Lord (i.e. God directed works) will be evident in their life.

And this is a faulty misunderstanding on Romans 3:10 and Romans 3:23. Unless of course you want to propose that nobody today can understand the things of God or that nobody today seeks after God (Romans 3:11).

No I is not faulty. Anyone who says they are perfectly sinless I either a liar or has watered down Gods laws far below the standard they are set at

But we maintain a man is justified by faith apart from works of the law rom3:28

I guess your argument is with Paul not me

Paul is talking about being justified by works of the Law of Moses alone or man directed works. The word "circumcised" and it's variations appears many times as being a problem in the book of Galatians and the book of Romans.
