ooc|| Koruji's bio has been modified slightly. Now she has a halbert as her main weapon, which is like a pole with a blade on the end. :3

bic||

What an odd place. Those thought ran through Korujis head as she contemplated the 'planet' Hollowstar. Endless day. Koruji hated it, actually. But she had gotten used to it over the few days she had been to. She quickly got accustomed to the many places she had been. She had come here having heard stories about it, and was immensely intrigued. It was an iron ball, coated in fifty feet of soil. So technically, you couldn't count it as a planet. But what else would you call it? Planet seemed to fit it best. As was Koruji's usual custom, she had snuck ((sneaked, whatever. I say snuck sounds better. xD)) into Hollowstar. In this case she smuggled away in a Hollowstar ship, lucky not to have been caught.

So here she was, on Hollowstar, almost like a tourist. But not quite. With hands stuffed in her pockets she headed for the nearest hotel, which was pretty far away. Of course, the ship had to land somewhere reclusive, further away from the main towns. Suddenly, Koruji heard something. Was that... an explosion? Within a millisecond Koruji was in the air, swooping away from the noise at top speed. Her angellic white wings pumped up and down in a steady rhythm, causing her to move forwards at an even pace, not accelerating, not deccelerating. But she was still going rather quickly. In the distance, she saw the force field had been broken. If only for a moment. But it had been breached. And... by something immensely powerful. She was a good 20 miles away from whatever it was, and wanted to keep it that way. Turning, she continued her quick flight, trying to stem the flow of curiosity that threatened to make her turn around and investigate.

ooc|| Sorry. Lame intro on my part. D:

Go ahead and tell me if I got anything wrong about Hollowstar. >> I'm still pretty new to all of this, and so I don't really know much more than what you've stated here about Hollowstar. ><

((That's just fine, but it is indeed sneaked. :p))

Ethian spat. "Defend it? I'm here to tear this man-made rock-- and you-- to pieces. Don't get in my way. Then again, I might just blast you anyway." Ethian smiled devilishly and juggled a few orbs of energy. "Before I incinerate you again, why not tell me your reasons for being here?"

Koruji had only been flying for a short time when she heard a noise behind her. It almost resemled the noise of an arrow released from a bow for a moment, the sound of something tearing through the air at such a quick pace. She turned, seing some object hurtled at a speed that seemed impossible right at her. She dove to the side, attempting to avoid it, as she realized that it was... Something along the lines of a human. But no, it couldn't be a human. It was going far to fast on it's own, and its appearance was different. So... what was going on? Of course, by this point Koruji was rather skeptical of Hollowstar. Not on my top ten places to visit, so far.

Ethian's eyes grew wide when the girl leapt in front of him at the last possible second. He collided with her and toppled over her, landing on the ground with a loud thud. Ethian groaned and stood up, dusting himself off. "Sorry about that. Don't have time to talk!" Ethian dove forward, catching up to Iban. "I'm not on both sides! More than my hatred for you I want to destroy this world! But you have to tell me what's going on, in detail, or I can't help you!"

Iban stopped, circling around Koruji once before settling on the gound. "Ethian, my fight here is unfinished. This world is my birthplace - my first home. I was created here. I was built as a mighty gladiator in the deathless arena. That is still what I am." Iban paused, then continued, "But they didn't let me fight. So I destroyed the wall of my storage area and flew into the sky to wreak havoc. The other gladiators poured out after me, creatures of many forms that had also been designed for the arena. No matter what the king commanded, I would have my battle." Iban paused again. "I met a foe I could not match. Something, I know not what, began striking me from within. I had no hope of fighting back. So I left - straight up into outer space. It did not follow. You know what I do to worlds, Ethian. Iban has returned. I will have no more homes."

Ethian stopped and nodded. "I'll help you, if you'll swear to me that you'll leave this galaxy when Hollowstar is destroyed." He hated the thought of helping the being that had destroyed his home planet once, but they had a common goal. "So, are you going to blow this artificial rock up now, or what?"

Koruji listened from the side, keen ears managing to pick up the main jist of their conversation. They're going to... destroy Hollowstar? Wonderful. I certainly picked the wrong planet to visit for vacation. Of course Koruji was now contemplating what to do. Several options appeared in her mind. The main one being escape. If she wanted to live, her main priority would be getting off this pile of metal. And she had to get away from these two. They're power was obvious. She might not stand a chance against them. Maybe for a few minutes against one... but both? No, she'd most definietly lose against both of them.

ooc|| Umm... ok, I think my brother's sleepwalking and talking on his cell phone. O__o So... I'm... gonna go try and figure out what the heck is going on. Sorry about the short post.

Iban had taken an annoying detour, but since he stopped soon after, hi movement had done more good than harm. Gresholm's ship slowed to a stop a few miles directly overhead, and Gresholm gave the command to land. As the ships dropped through the clouds, Gresholm switched to an alternate dimension and slid down an icy slope toward the region of space equivalent to Iban's head. Upon reaching that space, he teleported a block of ice into Iban's computer brain.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Iban abruptly flinched and hurled a massive blast of fire in three directions, expending the energy of the ice block. He fired most of the energy slightly downward, burning a red-hot ditch down to the iron core, and rocketed "southward."

Although Hollowstar didn't rotate, it had a clearly defined north and south, developed in the Golden Age. The North Pole of Hollowstar was an empty patch of ground at the very center of the Gold Kingdom. The south pole was a small military plant at the right-angle boundary between the Black Kingdom and the Dark Desert. Iban headed slightly off south, traveling toward the Black Palace, where he would make his stand.

He recognized this warrior. The world's defender had come.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Aigen! Aigen!" The computer relayed Janem's call, and a young man in a black suit materialized in the center of the room. "Yes, sir?"

"Something very powerful is interfering with the force field. Kill it."

"Details, sir? I need to know my target."

"Computer, show exactly what is causing this."

The computer shifted to a view of Gresholm's falling ship.

"Yes, that. Destroy it, whatever it is."

Aigen was mystified at the order to destroy royal property, but he wasn't one to question authority. "Yes, sir." Aigen teleported out of the room and headed for the sky room.

Lance sat, contemplating what it was he was supposed to do.
"Destroy Hollowstar."
That had been his top priority; the assassinations were only to ensure those people never escaped to help the Bruthalian Empire...or any other empire, for that matter. No matter the cost, no matter how many lives are lost, freedom must be won...forever.
It seemed so hollow, that motto of the Martyr Militia, and had turned the once honest and just organization into corrupt generals and soldiers who actually cheered when an occupied planet, no matter if it was for five minutes or five years, was obliterated so that the surface would take centuries to renew itself.
But if Lance was to have any chance for his dreams, he would have to play the good soldier. If only he could find Tek again...if only he hadn't made solid enemies of the Militia the first time he had visited--more like used---them. He had been awed by the boy's wit ever since.
"Destroy Hollowstar," he muttered. "How am I supposed to do that?"
Even though it was an artificial planet, he had no idea how it ticked. So he was going to have to find out, somehow.

Ethian wanted to follow Iban, but the ship above him interested him. "Hollostar, hm? Showtime." Ethian crashed through the floor of the ship, landing inside. "Who's first?" To his disappointment, no one was inside. "This sucks." Ethian landed back on the ground and threw blasts of energy at the ship, the pieces of energized metal crashing to the ground around him. "I'm getting bored. Hey Iban, where're you going!?" Ethian zoomed after Iban, catching up in ten or so seconds. "So, why're you going this way? When're we blowing up Hollowstar? And while you're at it, you might as well tell me why you blew up my world."

"I blew up your world as a last resort, preferring a draw to a defeat. I blow up this world after the defender battle." As Iban spoke, he came within sight of a huge black palace, then reached it an instant later. Iban flew inside, slowing down, and headed for the artifact room.

A bolt to his head made him flinch again. Somehow, Gresholm had gotten here first. But he hadn't disturbed the long-forgotten artifacts of the Black Kingdom. Iban went straight for a small, pitch-black spear on the single circular shelf that lined the room.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When Iban flew off, Gresholm returned to reality to get his bearings, just in time to see his ship destroyed. Hastily, he jumped to another dimension, hopping on a roller coaster. But that wouldn't be fast enough to catch up with Iban. Knowing Iban, he had to have a destination. In the direction he was traveling, that meant either the Black Palace or the Dark Desert. The desert was too big, so Gresholm hopped into hyperspace and stepped across an odd three-foot stretch that happened to connect this side of the world with that one. He popped back into a sensible dimension just in time to see the shower of flames that marked Iban's arrival.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Aigen traveled, the icon of Gresholm's ship on his computer display winked out. "Mission Accomplished," Aigen said aloud, not caring that no one could hear him or that it wasn't him who had destroyed the ship. Whoever it was would be pardoned because the thing was condemned anyway. Aigen pressed some buttons and sent his ship heading back to the Gold Palace.

Ethian nodded. So he doesn't like to lose... He followed Iban into the Black Palace, but for some reason stayed after Iban left. He opened a door and moved out of the way just in time to see a laser fly past him. "Whoa, what in--" Quickly Ethian dodged a few more lasers and slammed the door shut. "What in the world was that?!" Ethian moved away from the door just as an explosion blasted through it. Out of the smoke came a tan-skinned female Loo, a water-being from Pelnome in his home system of Genesehres, armed to the teeth.

"Um, could you explain why you're trying to fry me?" The girl (who couldn't've been older than Ethian) put the laser gun in a holster and removed a smaller handgun and loaded a clip into it. "Um, did you hear me? Why are you shooting at me?!" The girl aimed and fired two shots at Ethian, both of which he easily dodged. "Look, enough!" Ethian ran quickly up to the girl and grabbed her arms, pointed the handgun up towards the ceiling.

"Look, just stop shooting and we can talk this out--" Ethian was cut off by the girl's knee going into his gut, knocking him off of his feet. As he landed on his butt, the girl pointed the gun at Ethian and pulled the trigger. Ethian winced, but she was out of ammunition. Seizing the opportunity, Ethian rushed the girl and tackled her to the floor, throwing her weapons far out of reach at light speed. "Now, ready to talk?" The girl spat in Ethian's eye. "Ouch! What the heck is wrong with you!?"

Ethian shook the saliva off of his face and sighed. "Tell me why you shot at me." The girl looked away, then looked back at him. Ethian got distracted by her crystal blue eyes for a moment, but quickly regained his composure. "Do you know how to talk?" The girl glared at him. "Maybe." Ethian rolled his eyes. "Why were you shooting at me?" The girl smiled. "I don't know. Maybe I felt like it."

"You're seriously aggravating me--" Ethian was interrupted by the girl. "Look, can you stop talking? You have a really big mouth. Has anyone ever told you that? Now let me up. You already fried my guns." Ethian glanced at her weapons on the other side of the room. "Whoops. Sorry about that. You were kinda' shooting at me, though." Ethian stood and helped the girl up. "Why'd you shoot at me?" The girl shrugged. "You scared me. No one's been here in awhile, at least, not since they came around, but..." Ethian crossed his arms. "But what?" The girl shook her head. "Never mind."

This girl is a nutcase. "So, do you have a name, nutcase?" The girl glared at him. "Excuse me?" Ethian realized his mistake. "Uh, I mean, do you have a name... uh..." The girl giggled. "Phera." Ethian tried not to laugh. "Phera?" The girl nodded. "You got a problem with that?" Ethian shook his head. "No, no, just an unusual name is all." The girl moaned. "Five minutes and I already hate you. That's an accomplishment."

Of course, Koruji's curiosity had gotten in the way of her well being.

Again.

But they were fast, and she wouldn't be able to keep up with that speed, even if she was fast. So she followed as best as she could, wings pumping and her face easily displaying her heavy concentration, provoking the wind to carry her quicker. By the end of it, the winds were hardly kept from Mach 500,000, hurtling her at an incredible speed, nearly at her max. The only reason she even dared go this fast was because she could use the wind to stop herself, if she so wished.

She saw them stop, and this time followed Ethian. She saw him and the girl fighting, surprised she hadn't been noticed as of yet. But she was here for info, not to be killed, so she didn't want to be noticed. Instead she waited for the man or woman to blab some sort of valuable information, figuring that the other one--Iban--wouldn't relay info, seeing as he was some sort of... robot? She wasn't sure. Her extent of knowledge only relayed that he was definietly not part of the human race. Not that she totally belonged to the human race... she was only half human. But that didn't matter much to her.

Ethian laughed a little. "Most people hate me within the first thirty seconds. I must be off my game." Phera walked over to Ethian and put her hands on her hips. "So, who are you, barging into my home like this?" Ethian scoffed. "This can't be your home. You're a Loo, you can't survive long without--"

"Water?" Phera pulled her shirt up slightly, revealing a small black box. "This takes oxygen out of the air around me and converts carbon dioxide into a pure form of hydrogen, and then converts those into water and sends it into my body." Ethian yawned. "Um, yeah, science. It kinda' bores me." Phera rolled her eyes. "So, why are you here?" Ethian shrugged. "I followed Iban here. Not sure why he came. He's gone now, though." Phera gave a skeptical look. "Iban? As in, Iban the Worldbreaker?" Ethian nodded hesitantly. "You, uh, heard of him?" Phera walked a short distance over to a small computer and punched in a few keys. "The database here has information on an Iban. 'Iban the Worldbreaker.' But it says that he was destroyed." Ethian nodded. "Well, uh, he was, but, uh, he..." Phera walked back over and put her finger on Ethian's mouth. "I get it, he's not dead. It's not important why. Geez, you talk way too much. Now, I'm going to take my finger off of your mouth and I want you to tell me your name, then I want you to shut up. Okay?" Ethian nodded and Phera removed her finger. "Ethian Eltii." Phera smiled slightly. "Thank you. See? You didn't talk too much that time." A small sound caught Ethian's attention. "Someone else is here." Phera had gone back to the computer, but she quickly swerved around. "What?"

Ethian spoke quietly. "Someone else is here. I heard something bump. Things don't just bump." Phera sighed and rolled her eyes. "Would you stop it? You're getting on my nerves again."

The instant Iban touched the spear, Gresholm appeared across the room, snatching an artifact. Ibanh released the spear at the same instant, spinning his head to see what Gresholm was doing. The teleporting spear never reached its target. Gresholm's choice, the Nameless Artifact, trapped the spear, absorbing it to become a copy of the spear. Iban immediately released a more ordinary blast, knocking out the far wall and enveloping Gresholm in flames. The indestructible spear dropped to the ground, and Iban knew that Gresholm had been vaporized.

The defender has lost. Iban blew out the floor, digging down to the iron core. He touched the iron core, absorbing the entire planet. Iban fired the blast in all directions, reserving a concentrated beam to punch through the force field above and a larger beam to propel himself through the new hole. As the fire spread through the world, taking over a second to destroy everything, Iban rocketed into space. The force field closed behind him.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At some point in his battle, Iban had passed through a deathless arena. This was not surprising, since deathless arenas were nearly undetectable, but now the greatest work of the two Gold Kings showed its worth. The force field of Hollowstar focused inward, bringing Iban's blast under control and converting the energy back into matter. Massive amounts of heat radiated into space as the system rebuilt the planet from memory, starting with the iron core, then reaching out to the dirt surface a nanosecond later. The bare skeletons of the inhabitants covered the land, but before any observer could perceive them they were covered in flesh. Visitors returned to the place where they had died, while natives returned to their chosen respawn points.

((I destroyed the world and brought it back. Don't worry, everything is just as it was before my post. Except that Lance might have had a brief sensation of dying... that is, he feels like he's dying, but then he isn't dead.))

Koruji flinched slightly when she realized Ethian had heard her. But the girl sounded extremely doubtful. Of course, by now Koruji was far to curious for her own good, and, being the nosy and strange person she was, she wanted to know exactly what was going on. So regardless, she wouldn't leave her post. She was sure this Ethian and Iban wouldn't want to blow themselves up with the world, so she could hitch a ride with them if they got away from Hollowstar--or rather the remains of Hollowstar--with some sort of space vehicle. If not, she'd have to find a way out on her own... oh well. She'd worry about that later.

Ethian felt Iban's blast enveloping the planet, and in less than an instant he had grabbed the Loo girl-- Phera-- and blasted through the roof of the Black Palace. Seeing the blast coming, Ethian couldn't bring the girl into space, and he knew that. She, however, still had no idea what was going on. Ethian winced as he held a small portion of the blast back, keeping him and the girl from destruction. There's no planet now! She needs air! Where am I supposed to get-- Before Ethian could finish his thought, Hollowstar was back. He rushed down to the surface and landed, right outside the Black Palace. "What-- what was that?" Phera looked like she had seen a ghost. Ethian shrugged. "Iban... blew it up. But it's back..." Phera moaned quietly and rubbed her eyes. "How? We should be dead, shouldn't we?" Ethian looked at the girl. "I would've been fine. You would've been killed by the vacuum of space, though." Ethian flashed a cheesy grin as if to apologize.

Phera looked at the sky for a moment, then looked back at Ethian. "You can put me down now, you know." Ethian's eyes grew wide and his face turned red in embarrassment. "Oops, sorry." Ethian sat Phera down and they made their way back into the Palace. "So... where were we?" Phera groaned. "You had to save me, didn't you?!"
