((Did you really try? It's your decision to leave, of course, though i am a little disappointed. Perhaps you did try. I dunno. I never really saw it, if you did. Sad to see you leave, though. You can be fun to roleplay with. But the show must go on. Cheat, you might as well post. It won't take too long to get into the facility.))

Lance walked into the ambassadorial suite assigned to him, and as the door closed, he went to work. Lying down on his bed as if going to sleep, he lay still a reasonable time. He then gave a command to Navi, his Personal Artificial Intellegence Drone that was a part of his wrist-computer, and the PAID, or PD for short, began to emit a frequency that scrambled the cameras without drawing attention to himself. It would play the last few minutes footage over and over in a continuous loop, but smooth enough that it would seem he was sleeping in real time. He then began his routine of hidden weapons checks, grenades, and whatever equipment he'd managed to bring with him. He then began his hack into the system, in order to find his objective.
"Where are you hiding, Jerrick...?" he muttered, attempting to bypass the complicated firewalls and infrastructure of the Bruthalian network.

((Roger roger.))

Mel followed the group, his hands coating themselves in ice. "Forest, bud." Ethian would've said to him. "Not the best place for fire, yeah?" Mel's ears twitched rapidly as the Forseer focused on his surroundings, specifically what was ahead of them. His nose wiggled every so often as it found a new scent, but nothing out of the ordinary. Trees, grass, Wotovik... Mel yelped as a furry beast came crashing down from the trees, landing in front of him. Mel's hands immediately lit up with fire and he gritted his teeth in preparation for the Wotovik's attack. What happened surprised him.

"Yando? Yando?" The Wotovik took a few steps back in bewilderment. Mel's fire dissipated. "Neer? What're you doing out here?" The Wotovik sighed. "Infidels making us watch." Mel frowned. "That's not what I was hoping to hear. You're alone, right?" Neer shook his head. "More brothers watching.” Mel sighed. “Here?” Neer nodded and said, “Farther though. Each take his own watch.”

“Will they attack us?” Mel asked. Neer took a deep breathe and replied, “Maybe they do. Not if they sees who you is.” Mel nodded and said, “Stay on your shift, don’t tell anyone we’re here.” Neer agreed with a grunt and quickly scampered up a large tree. “Okay, guys,” Mel said, turning his attention to Querrot and Tek, “We need to watch out for any more Wotovik guards. They’re friendly under normal terms, but they have a bad habit of ripping you in half first, eating you later, and possibly asking questions afterward.”

Litra followed Aden until they made their way to the battle. Then, out of nowhere, Aden closed his eyes and turned around. “Where are you going, you ninny?! This isn’t the best time to get cold feet! Ugh!” Litra slapped her forehead and let out a long sigh. Aden continued in the opposite direction of the battle. “I am not walking away from a fight,” she mumbled as two pillars of rock emerged on either side of her. Putting her hands forward, palms out, the pillars broke from the ground with a loud crack and flew towards a squad of Bruthalians.

***

Sierra gasped in surprise as the infantry in front of her, who moments ago had been coming closer and closer to their well-deserved doom, we mowed-down by large chunks of rock. Blowing a strand of hair out of her face, she groaned, “Not another show-stealer.” Shimeran continued slicing and dicing and tearing heads off of soldiers without notice of Litra.

***

Ethian moaned in frustration as the ship was thrown to the left by missile impacts. “I’m guessing we’re not,” Phera stated. Ethian yelled out, “What was your first clue?!” as two more missiles slammed into the hull. Phera hit a few switches on the dashboard and a red light on the ceiling started flashing. “What’s that?” Ethian asked as Phera got up from her seat. “That means the escape pod’s ready to go. So are we,” she said, walking behind him to the door. Ethian remained facing the opposite direction and grumbled back, “What makes you think that an escape pod can outrun these people!?” Phera rolled her eyes. “Just shut up and get in!” Ethian shook his head. “Uh uh, no way! Not happening! I’m not getting in some deathtra—“ Ethian was cut off as Phera jammed a taser into his neck, rendering his body limp and knocking him unconscious. Phera caught him as he fell backwards and proceeded to drag him into the escape pod.

Phera hoisted Ethian into the pod and laid him down on the floor. Quickly, she punched in a few keys and closed the pod off, then initiated the cloaking device. “Let’s hope we make it to your homeworld, hm?” she said. At the same time, the pod jettisoned off into space, towards Aragithia, as Phera’s ship exploded into pieces from the rest of the missiles.

"System error! Bad data." Iban waited a few seconds for error-correction instructions, but of course no one could give them - the only living person who knew the codes was a prisoner on Aragithia. After waiting precisely 8 seconds, Iban exploded upward, wreathed in flames. He sliced cleanly through every wall until he reached the outer edge of the ship's hull, where he cast Mass Touch and absorbed forty tons of metal. Six massive beams of light lanced outward, slicing through anything in their path. Iban himself rocketed downward, hurtling onto the surface of Aragithia.

***

"Nothing rips diamond in half. How about I lead the way?" Querrot didn't move forward and take the lead, though - he couldn't. At the pace they were moving and with his heavy diamond armor, Querrot could barely keep up, let alone get ahead of Mel. To his credit, his left hand was now an interesting plaid with white and cyan lines spidering across it, evidence of a spell ready to be cast.

***

Aden landed atop a nearby hill and stumbled over it, opening his eyes just in time to fall forward and catch himself on the other side. Out of view of the army, Aden summoned a Living Torch - then another one. These magical constructs, looking like tall campfires in suspended animation with the wood missing, could be destroyed only by water or antimagic. Aden loved them for their durability and, more importantly, their ability to replicate any fire attack - magical or otherwise - done in their vicinity.

Aden summoned another living torch, and the torches began summoning more, teaching each other the summon even as they summoned more. Aden waited a full minute, until a few thousand living torches surrounded him, then raised his staff and hurled a small fireball into the air, marching back over the hill as though leading a cavalry charge. The torches followed him as best they could, summoning new torches in his direction although they themselves were unable to move. In response to his fireball, some torches began throwing fireballs instead of summoning, and the ability to throw small fireballs spread throughout the army. Aden drenched himself in magic-negating Chelestra water and moved forward, ordering the bulk of the torches to the sides to flank the enemy.

Aden still wasn't sure which side was which, so he hoped to stop the battle with a display of power and sort things out.

(((Yeah, I did try, so don't even go there. Every time I try to join this RPG, I am killed by god characters, without even being offered an expliantion!! What type of species are on this planet? Why are they fighting Iban? Why is Miranda with them, since I SO did not give you permission to keep her around since I killed her since Brilliand was going to godmod her to death. So, yeah, I'm mad. Get over yourself, Navy. Don't talk about what you don't even know.)))

((At least I was talking. And I wasn't trying to be rude or arrogant. You merely read that into my words, if at all.))

"Got it, uh...." Tek said, grasping for a name. "Who are ya, again? And you, too, Mr. Diamond. I think you already know me, but I don't think you really introduced yourselves. Of course, I sometimes forget a name if I've only heard it once. I know, some genius, right? Ah, well, we all have our little quirks."
Tek hopped over a log, and continued onward.
"Well, in any case, we're here. I can see the facility through a break in the trees. Jerrick is down there somewhere, so I suppose we'll need to find a way to sneak in, and find a place for me to hack into the system, like I've said before. That means you two will be playing bodyguard for me while I get the info! Hehe."

Lance dodged around the corner, having deactivated the cameras already. Of course, his cloak was on, but that didn't mean the cameras couldn't pick up his actions, if not himself. He didn't want anyone asking questions about a particular guard knocked out cold in a particular pantry. It would be a while before they found him.
He was nearing his destination, entering one of the cell blocks, the one reserved for special prisoners.
"Freeze, cowboy..."
Lance stiffened, and turned his slightly to the right. A guard wearing heat vision goggles. Dang.
Lance was about to fight back, when another guard with the same goggles knocked him out with a stun baton.

Ein sighed. Pressing his collar button, he was able to communicate to the bridge.
"Begin sealing off the compromised decks. I don't want to lose the ship quite yet."
"But sir! What about the android?"
"What about him? Let him go. There isn't anything we can do right now, anyway. Let's cut our losses for now."
"Yes, sir!"
At least the hangar deck wasn't compromised. Ein would probably have to escape that way if the ship couldn't be saved. But only time could tell.
Lucky that he'd been separated from death by a foot or two of glass and steel.
Ein began to make his way to the bridge.

"I guess you're good, then." Mel said in response to Querrot. "But I'd watch for them anyway. Don't kill any of them... they don't know better."

Mel giggled at Tek's remark. "Yeah, some genius," he said teasingly. "My names Mellian Yando. Just call me Mel, though... Mellian's not that great of a name." As they continued on, Mel wondered how many of his old friends he would run into, and how many had already been killed. He knew for sure that most of them would never submit to the Empire.

***

Sierra turned to the right with a gasp as Aden came roaring back with a large army of torches. "Isn't this just my day..." she mumbled, pulling out her shortsword. She didn't know this man, he was obviously a threat. Racing forward, Sierra's strong legs propelled her at remarkable speeds until she came close to Aden. Mustering up a good bit of strength, she leaped up at him, aiming to land on his shoulders.

Shimeran was growing weary of the repetitiveness of the battle. Slice here, slash there, roar. It wasn't his kind of fight. Extending his large, fur-covered wings and taking to the sky, he prepared to come crashing down on a large force of Bruthalians... until he saw Litra. Forseer girl's going to get herself killed! Troopers were moving in on her, and though Litra was doing her best to hold them off with her powers, none of it was doing much to keep the enemy at bay.

The Warped Wotovik dove forward, barreling through a few troops here and there as he came closer to the ground, until he reached Litra. The beast reached out to grab her, but found himself being thrown high into the air by a pillar of earth. "Nice try, monster. You're not getting me that easily." You don't understand-- you have to get out here! "A monster with a mind, hm? No matter-- you're not touching me." Shimeran quickly recovered from the attack and did another dive down toward Litra. This time, however, when the pillar of earth came up at him, he did a barrel roll in the air, dodging it. Litra gasped as Shimeran grabbed her by her hair and lifted her high into the air. "Stop being so stubborn," he growled, "Or I'll devour you."

((The source of power for Sierra's bite is magic, so Aden's protected. I doubt that'll keep him from defending, though. :D))

((Is it alright if Lance is put in the same cell as Jerrick? If not I'll edit.))

Lance opened his eyes subtly, taking in his surroundings without being too obvious. He didn't want any guards to know he was awake now. By now, of course, they knew who he was. Maybe that was in his best interests. He would be considered a "special prisoner", being the second best hacker in the Milky Way galaxy.
That was about the time Lance realized there was someone else in the cell with him.
*******************
Tek nodded in agreement. "Yah, Mellian isn't that great a name. But seriously. We have to somehow cross a large amount of ground that has no cover whatsoever. I can cloak, but that won't cover all of us."
Tek flipped his goggles over his eyes and turned on the HUD (Heads-Up Display). He zoomed in to take in the defenses.
"It looks like there's a terminal inside that door over there. If I can sneak over to it, I can deactivate the offensive turrets that would otherwise vaporize ya. Last time I was unprepared, but I can use my "Scrambler" virus to make it harder to detect me while I'm cloaked. It'll scramble the sensors, as the name implies, and it's very difficult to counter-hack. Wait here."
Tek cloaked himself with his utility belt, and began running towards the complex, activating Scrambler. The turrets fired wildly at all the wrong locations. Soon he was too close to be fired upon.
"What was that all about?" one guard asked another, aiming his rifle towards the forest.
"I don't know, but if we don't get back to our posts, we'll---"
Tek knocked him out with the butt end of Mark II, and fired Mark I at the other Bruthalian soldier. It had a stun capability.
He then used the Card ID from one of the soldiers to open the door. He had to disable another guard before he had access to the terminal. He quickly shut down the turrets and disabled them.
Tek went to the door, and beckoned for the others to come. He had, of course, decloaked before doing so. It would've been embarrassing if he had still been cloaked while waving his arms in the air.

Querrot kept his pace, and as he passed Tek he announced, "My name's Querrot. I won't kill them - wouldn't want to waste my magic."

((Man, Querrot is the sort of character that kills conversations...))

***

As Sierra leapt for him, Aden dropped to the ground, holding his staff over his head to block. As he hit the ground, a flood of fireballs shot over him, intended to incinerate the enchantress before she could reach him.

***

Iban hurtled through the upper atmosphere at 60% of lightspeed, then swerved, swooping low over the ground. His path happened to lead into a forest, and he shot straight through, turning every tree he encountered into a huge, balanced energy blast. As he exited the forest, Iban slowed to a swift but smooth stop, and alighted gently on the ground.

((But every RPG needs a good Querrot. ^_^

I-incinerate?!))

Mel followed Querrot, taking his time in order to hear, see and smell more clearly his surroundings. He began to think about the world, and how it could've gotten this way. It was so... alien. I wonder where E's at right now. Probably having a lot more fun than I am.

***

Ethian rubbed his eyes, then opened them. Dark. Black, black, dark. As his eyes slowly adjusted, Ethian saw the dark outline of a person. Looking harder, he saw long hair. He could tell the person was female. He blinked, and saw a flash, then the outline was gone. The lights flipped on, and Phera walked over to him. "You're up already? That taser was supposed to keep you out cold for another four hours," she said. Ethian moaned. "How long has it been?" he asked.

"Six minutes," she said. Ethian blinked a few more times before responding. "Six minutes since we landed?" Phera shook her head. "Six minutes since I tasered you," she said. Ethian sat up, finding himself on the floor of the escape pod. "Where are we?" he mumbled. "Genesehres II," she said dryly as she opened the door on the top of the pod. "Let's get going. It won't be long before the Bruthalians come looking for us." Ethian stood and shook off the rest of his drowsiness. "Alright, I'm ready," he said as he grabbed his sword.

The two emerged from the pod, straight into the middle of a jungle. "Just wonderful," Phera groaned.

***

Sierra's body transformed from an attractive Kelosian female to that of a beastly flying fur-ball. Flying upwards as fast as she could, she felt her feet get singed by the heat of the fireball onslaught, but manage to get away from the attack. "Playing rough, are we?" she said as a devilish grin appeared on her face. "Shimeran, honey! This man's hurting me!"

Shimeran turned his gaze instantly to Aden, letting out a huff of breath and then a low snarl. The monster immediately changed his flight pattern, roaring down full-speed at Aden, greatsword drawn. His rage was obvious.

Litra held onto the beast's hand so her hair didn't rip out of her head, and looked down at Shimeran's target. Immediately she knew that one of the idiots were going to get themselves killed. Either way it wouldn't be a good ending for her, if Aden lost the beast might kill her, and if the Aden fried the beast she might get caught in the crossfire. Thus, she began hurling large chunks of earth at Aden and his torches. The rocks, however, simply smashed into each other above the army, sending dust raining down on the fires. Shimeran grunted as another pillar of earth slammed into his chest, sending him flying upward and sending Litra sliding to the ground, screeching to a halt at Sierra's feet.

((I don't know if magic will keep the fires lit despite the dust, but it was worth a try. :D))

"Alright. This terminal seems to be connected to the mainframe, so I'll do the hacking from here. You two keep an eye on the hallway, and on that door. I don't mean to be bossy, but hacking can sometimes take a while, even for me. I need to focus all my energy on the task."
Tek brought up his holo-displays, and began to hack into the main system. He was looking for anything that could tip him off, like cell records or briefings. He needed to find out what the Bruthalian Empire was after on Aragithia, other than ultimate conquest.
Then he hit pay dirt.
"I found Jerrick," Tek said. "And..... LANCE?!?!? WHAT IS HE DOING HERE?!?!?!?!?!?"
Tek punched a nearby wall, and immediately regretted it.
"OWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!!!"
He shook his hand furiously for another few minutes, before resuming his hacking. It was like Tek hadn't done anything.
Then he found the other objective.
"I think I've found a clue as to why the Empire is here. It seems they're.... ah, it's too much to explain here. I'll just save it."
Tek saved the information to the harddrive on his utility belt, and disconnected from the system.
"We need to get down to the 20th floor. That's where they're keeping Jerrick. And I suppose we'll need to bust Lance out, as well. He may be Martyr Militia, but he's a good guy, though misguided. He doesn't deserve what the Empire is going to do to him."
But after this you owe me and explanation, Lance! Tek thought.
***********
"Who are you?" Lance asked the person in his cell. He would have preferred not to talk, but he would at least like to know if this guy was a potential threat.

((I'm assuming Jerrick hasn't got his armor or whatever, and his weapons. Either way, Lance will need to find his stuff, especially Navi, his wrist-com/AI. That's priceless to him.))

((I'm going to stick a leader of Poinesta in the mix... if they don't have a leader... then he'll just be a very powerful mage or something. Correct me if I make a mistake, though.))

Vangel walked down the crowded main hallway of the Greatest Plaza, the capitol building of Tetnicaria. Tetnicaria was the capital city of the planet Reex and of the Genesehres System, and thus was the largest and most crowded city in the system. Being the largest Tetnik settlement in the entire galaxy, its population could barely be matched by the rest of the planet combined.

As he took a left down another hallway, he was met by Vitrix Kriegler, the head of the Genesehres Council. The Tetnik man quietly ushered him down the hallway into another room, kept safe by three dozen guards of various species. As they entered the room, the lights turned on and Vangel was met by the sight of the rest of the Genesehres' Council and two other leaders of other worlds, all gathered around a large circular table. The room was a place to plan treaties, usually, but today it would serve as a platform for discussing war. Vangel turned to Vitrix and whispered in his ear, "These are the only ones who will help us?" Vitrix nodded and Vangel took his seat at the table.

Vitrix went to another side of the table and sat near Undar Bleen, the elected leader of Reex. On the opposite side of the table were Kloo Atir, a Loo (in his portable water tank) and the prime minister of Pelnome, and Hirah Quess, the Forseer queen of Jijitris. Opposite Vangel were the two other leaders, Yur Don, a powerful mage and a former leader of a large area of Poinesta (it had never had a very stable government), and one in particular that Vangel was quite surprised to see.

"Princess Terra, I am very pleased to see that you are alive after the attack on your world," Vangel said. The Princess smiled and replied, "It's good to see you too." Vangel let out a breath before asking the next question: "Are Hurult and Rulton no longer with us?" Vitrix spoke up, "We could not locate them. Their current whereabouts are unknown to us." Vangel nodded solemnly. We could've used those two... we need all the allies we can get, now more than ever. "Vangel, would you please explain something to me," Hirah Quess said, raising her hand slightly. "Why would the Bruthalian Empire be after something so primitive as the Monai, or, say, what's left of them?"

Vangel shrugged. "I don't know. I don't even know if they're after the Monai, per se..." Undar Bleen interrupted, "But you said--" Vangel put up a hand. "I said that the Monai settlement is putting off a large energy signal. That is the suspected reason that the Empire is invading Aragithia.” Vitrix frowned. “Why wouldn’t they just invade Pelnome, then?” Vangel paused before responding. “As I said before, they have in their clutches a powerful ally from Hollowstar. If they were to find whatever they are looking for on Aragithia to assist this Hollowstar native in getting to the bottom of the Valley, then they would proceed to invade Pelnome by force.”

Kloo Atir hit the button on the inside of his tank. While his mouth didn’t move, he put his hand on a scanner and an electronic voice spoke his thoughts, “We must prepare our forces to defend my people. We do not have the powers that you and your people possess, Vitrix.” Vitrix nodded and answered, “I agree. But first I think that we should send a scout to Aragithia to find out what’s going on.” Vangel smiled. “I already sent one,” he said. There was a momentary silence. Kloo Atir again put his hand on the scanner. “Who?”

***

Joshua lifted open the hatch on the escape pod, taking one last glance at Anna. “You’ll be out of it for another twelve hours. I hope with everything I am that some Clemm comes along and devours you in your sleep before then,” he muttered. As he climbed out of the pod, he found himself surrounded by Wotovik and Bruthalian troops. The troops all had their guns trained on him, aiming-lights appearing on his head and abdomen. This is not what I was told would happen.

“Put your hands in the air and get on the ground,” one of the troopers said. As Joshua did so, he pulled out a small chip. The chip, if it touched Anna's skin, would instantly disable the drug that Joshua had injected into Anna shortly after he knocked her out. “Put that down! We’ll shoot! We’ll shoot!” Joshua looked at Anna and threw the chip, which landed on her head. The troopers closed in, aiming to tackle and subdue Joshua. As they did so, Joshua heard the chip squeal as it went off. Anna’s awake. Not knowing if Anna would react in time, Joshua prepared to be shot by the troopers… gunfire went off, and Joshua covered his head and dove to the ground. After a few seconds, Joshua felt someone kick his side. “Get up, you scumbag.” Joshua felt the cold metal of a gun touch the back of his head. As he slowly stood, Anna pulled his arms behind his back and cuffed them together.

“Where are we?” She demanded. “Genesehres II.” Anna turned him around and slapped him. “You fool! You brought us into the middle of a war!” Joshua smiled. “At least there’s a higher chance of you getting killed than there is out there in space.” Anna slapped him again, and this time hit him over the head with the butt of his gun. Joshua collapsed to the ground, out cold. “I’m getting my suit, and I’m leaving you to die.”

Aden backed into his crowd of torches, drenching himself repeatedly with Chelestra water to keep cool. He would be unable to do anything else for several hours, but he was counting on the mass of torches to do his fighting for him.

The outermost torches were extending outward in a ring around the town, and the town was almost surrounded. Massive numbers of torches without room to summon in sent a sheet of flame through the air above the battlefield, cutting Shimeran off from the ground and preventing anything on the ground from taking off. The air began to heat up.

***

Jerrick turned to the newcomer and stared at him. He hadn't seen another human in ages, and at first he was simply annoyed that Lance was sitting on one of his indecipherable drawings. But after a few seconds Jerrick got around to answering the question. "Jerrick. My name... is Jerrick."

***

Querrot turned and looked back the way they had come, watching for enemies. None came, and Querrot soon felt useless.

***

Iban's gravitational sensors picked up no nearby movement. His eyes picked up a firestorm in the distance, which suggested a fight in progress. As his code of ethics prohibited interrupting someone else's battle, Iban headed in another direction.

Although the system error was past, Iban was still confused. He was neither fighting nor waiting to fight, and there was no one around to remedy this. Furthermore, he was standing in the midst of a barren terrain - something that his programming allowed for, provided he had intentions. Unfortunately, Iban had no intentions, and so he immediately decided to do something.

Iban flew north, hugging the ground and sending up a plume of flames that would ensure that the land remained barren for a long time to come.

Ethian gasped as he felt Iban's energy readings explode. "I've got to--" as Ethian said this, Wotovik fell from the trees around Phera. One of the beasts lunged forward at her. The Wotovik lifted Phera from the ground and began to strangle her. Ethian slapped his forehead before plowing towards the Wotovik full-speed, cutting through it with his sword as he passed. The Wotovik's body fell in two pieces, and Phera was free.

Pulling out a short plasmablade, Phera sliced the arm off of one Wotovik while Ethian incinerated the legs off of another. Phera and Ethian switched places, and as Phera was about to finish off another Wotovik, in the distance a strange howl echoed. Phera, Ethian, and the group of Wotovik all stopped moving in response to the sound. Phera hissed to Ethian, "What is it?" Ethian shook his head in disbelief as he turned to look at the mountains far in the distance.

"That's the royal horn," he said. Phera paused before asking, "And that is?" Ethian looked back at Phera and whispered, "It's for sending signals to allies. That's the note that the army of Alik plays... when they've lost."

***

Mel stayed with Querrot, watching for any enemies that might show up. It wasn't long, however, before he heard the horn of Alik off in the far distance. You're kidding me... the army lost? "Um, guys? How much longer is this going to take? I'm... I've got a place to be." The horn went off again, and Mel bit the inside of his cheek.

***

"You believe that they meet the requirements?" Kloo Atir continued to inquire of Vangel. Vangel nodded and replied, "Best we have. No one is more fit for the job." Kloo frowned. "I will agree with your judgment due to your past reliability, nothing more. But you must realize, the entire System's fate hinges on our action... or inaction." Vitrix spoke up, "We are aware of the risks, and are taking every possible mode of response into consideration. However, there is something that I must discuss with you all before the next meeting."

Anna made her way as fast as she could from the crash-site, before more troopers showed up. When Joshua woke up, she would be long-gone. If I can make it to the mountains, I'll be in the clear to signal someone. Once I do that, I'll just work a little of my magic... and take a joyride. Her suit was heavily damaged and so she had strapped the various parts to her back. She had to get off of the planet to find the necessary technology to repair it.

"Well.... I can't really say how long," Tek said, as they came to a Grav Lift. It was an elevator, but without all the machinery and cables. It simply increased, decreased, or reversed an artificial gravity field below the car.
"If you want, you can go now, the turrets are offline. But.... if you want to wreak some havoc on Bruthalian communications and other systems, as well as free a couple of prisoners of war, well, come along."
Tek stepped inside the car as the doors opened.
"Let's see... ah, this is the floor," Tek said, pushing the button, when everyone that was going was in the car.
"Last chance, Mel," Tek said, as the doors began to slowly slide closed.

Lance blinked a few times in the near darkness in the cell. So, by a stroke of luck he had actually found the guy.
"I see. So you're Jerrick, from Hollowstar. I assume they took your helmet, or you would've busted out of here by now."
Lance began examining the cell door.
"If they hadn't taken my wrist-computer, I'd be able to hack through this door. But if wishes were fishes, or fish or whatever....."
Lance brushed a hand through his hair.
"My name's Lance Harris. I'm here to rescue you. And yes, I am a little short to be an Imperial trooper."

Jerrick stared at Lance. "Huh?" Lance had just mentioned at least three different things, and Jerrick was out of practice with conversation. He was utterly confused.

Querrot stumped into the lift after Tek, and waited as the door closed. Suddenly he asked, "I probably won't need an offensive spell, will I?"

Iban came to an abrupt stop, hovering beside a sleeping form. Good, he had found a person. Next, the person had to talk. "Who are you and why are you here?" No response. Iban realized that the person was asleep. This was not as good as he had hoped, but at least it meant that it would most likely say something. If he was lucky, it would challenge him to a duel.

Iban floated to the ground and stood motionless, starting at Joshua.

Mel took a moment to think. "I'm coming," he said, quickly hopping into the lift right after Querrot. The army's going to have to wait. For now, we've got to find... whoever this dude is. For some reason. Mel grumbled lowly, wondering why he had decided to come along in the first place. He didn't trust Tek all the much, but he took a strange liking to Querrot in the short time they had been working together. "So... doesn't that armor get heavy?"

Joshua moaned as he heard a warped voice. "...you and... here?" Joshua shook his head and opened his eyes. Who in the blazes-- "Where's Anna? Who are you?" Joshua felt that his hands were still cuffed behind his back. The wretched girl had knocked him unconscious. How long had he been there?

Querrot didn't look directly at Mel, but he did turn slightly so that he was no longer looking directly away. "Well, it mostly holds itself up when I'm standing still. It does get heavy when I'm moving around - that's why I made it a grid, not a solid suit. I don't think I could handle a solid suit. And this silk breathes better, anyway."

"I am Iban. I do not know where Anna is. Who are you?"

"Spell? What are ya talking about?" Tek asked, confused. He had been raised around technology his whole life, apart from any possibility of magic or otherwise. "Well... whatever it is, I'd keep it just in case. You never know when you might run into an unexpected enemy."
The Grav Lift slowed, and the doors slid open.
"Like....that....." Tek said, pointing to the group of soldiers pointing rifles at them.
"Think fast!" Tek shouted, his shield coming online as he shot a charged Plasma burst into the main bulk of the group. The shield covered the doorway as Tek modified it, giving specific instructions through the data pad on his belt.
**********
"I mean to say, I'm Lance Harris, and my mission is to get you out of here."
Lance buttoned his lip after that. Until he heard a firefight outside in the corridor.
"What the--?" he muttered, looking out through the bars on the small window in the door.
"Tek?!?!? What's he doing here?"

((As you might recall, Jerrick might remember Tek too, as he did fight him.))

Querrot took a step forward and cast his spell. He had spent a long time building up for this, and he was going to make it good.

A telekinetic force shot across the hall, picking up soldiers, guns and midair bullets and hurling them to the opposite end of the corridor. Blue streaks filled the corridor as Querrot followed up with a wide-angle lightning bolt, electrocuting the soldiers.

As his spell ended, Querrot surveyed the damage. He hadn't killed anything, but the soldiers were certainly disoriented. Querrot was glad he had fast allies who could mop up before the soldiers got organized. The silk parts of his armor wouldn't hold up if one of those rifle bullets hit him.

Jerrick gaped at the battle in the corridor. He flinched slightly as electricity shot past, but behind the metal bars, he and Lance were protected from electrical attacks. Jerrick reached up to his forehead in response to an old habit, and suddenly felt bereaved.
