Has you have experienced that moment? Today is the day of salvation. If you haven't given your life over to the Christ of Calvary... now is a good time.

I met Christ when I was 21 years old, after a marriage where I was beaten several times, and finally escaped from. I went to a church retreat, and met Christ, and turned my life over to him that very hour.

I know that Christ, my Lord, died to save me, yes me, from eternal damnation. And I give all the glory and honor to Him.

Well, I certainly do like to give the benefit of any doubt...so I went to the source and verified the veracity of the now "infamous rumour". I am smart enough to comprehend what I read. What I read was a planned attack by some LDS posters, two to be exact if I recall correctly, AFD and Winnie G, who did indeed show up here with hostile attitudes, and many offensive statements. Indeed, at the "source" there were even posts naming people from CF who were to "be avoided". How nice. How "Christian". How childish.
Please do not tell me that I misread or did not understand their intentions or in any way imply that I am not smart enough to add 1+1.

Might I be pointed in the correct direction so that I might judge for myself?
Frankly, with all due respect, I simply don't trust the interpretive skills of those who are critics.
Understand, I'm not saying that such doesn't happen, especially with kids, they do all kinds of things. But such a thing wouldn't be at all indicative of an adult LDS.
I simply wish to verify for myself, so that I might understand if things are being fully represented accurately. And then I will condem as necessary.

However, one can't make a judgement, or add additional perspective without the evidence.
So, I just made some comments that such behavior wasn't at all indicative of LDS.
All peoples have "wild seeds", so I'm simply being sure that things are being accuratly represented.

I've seen no LDS "trolls" here, and I'm a active reader of many LDS related and christian forums, so I've seen no "plans to disrupt" either.
I also know that LDS don't do this kind of thing whatsoever. They may hear of a forum and go check it out, and maybe it happens that they make a post or two and then aren't interested, but I haven't yet seen that here in this section of the forum at least.
This kind of thing is hardly anything related to the charges that have been made here.

Maybe someone could post the evidence of this slanderous charge?
I suspect thought that the evidence is quite innocent as I've described above, if seen in passing by those who think they know such.



Thus, no you are not "right", sounds like simply another false rumor in order to degrade the Church and its members.

If the evidence is no longer there, then I consider that additional evidence. Speaking only for myself of course. And I'm not necessarily a critic. I do not happen to agree with the core doctrines of the LDS church. But that does not make me anti-LDS. And I don't trust the interpretive skills of anyone no matter who they are. And I find that this sort of behaviour is very common, anecdotally speaking, of my own LDS relatives. I do pray for them that their lives will bear fruit.

Really now... there's no reason to be bickering like this... there's more important things that need to be said, and important questions that need to be asked.

Again, I was told to take advantage of the fact that so many people have deciced to grace this forum with their presence... and it's rare that anyone tell me to "preach it"... but Hey... I've been given the go-ahead.


I just need to ask you... and it's an important question.


Are you saved? Is there a time in your life when you know that you put your faith and trust in the Christ of Calvary to redeem you of your sins. Do you know that if you were to die tonight where you would spend eternity?

The ones that came here from the LDS board came because they were invited.

If you wish to view that as trolling, go right ahead. BUT, when they came, they saw right away that they were called blasphemers (that was one of the words used), deceivers (that was another), and other such names, which I view as an un-Christian thing to do. Did not Christ call us to love each other, especially those we consider our enemies? I have seen no such Christ-like attitude from those here, either.

IMO, everyone acted shamefully. EVERYONE.

This is EXACTLY the reason I spoke up when I first came to UTD threads, because the attitude of certain Christians was quite questionable to say the least.
I am not a Mormon or LDS by the way. I don't believe some of the LDS doctrine. I proclaim Jesus Christ is God, and the only way to salvation. But I too have been rebuked or attacked by my fellow brothers and sisters (Only some, not all, by any means)
A word of friendly advice for Christians trying to point out Scriptural truth? Please lose the attitude. Belittling people will not win anyone. Pointing out Scripture and asking thought provoking questions in the Spirit of Love is what will get someone to examine their beliefs to see if they are truly in the Lord or not.

I just read a posting that you are part of a church that is fractured off mormonism. Now... that tells me that you know the Mormon Jesus and not the Christ of Calvary. Now... we have to start over.


Are you saved? And when I ask that, I am not asking if you are saved by the Jesus mentioned in the book of mormon, but in the Christ of Calvary... the Christ of the New Testament. He is the only way.
