Scripture is silent, and when Scripture is silent it is not a matter of Salvation (2Tm 3:16) Surely it would be of more use to be looking for things that Scripture is not silent on that people blatantly contradict in their praxis and doxis than this?
Who gives a crap whether there were 3, 5, or 8? It's not something that's going to make a bit of difference.
