  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The Christian church. Without Jesus, any concept of the Son would have gone over the head of anyone. With Jesus, or the Son incarnate, we can see that the personas of the Father and Son are seperate. Who knows? Perhaps God may reveal Himself in many more forms in future- He is God, after all, and can appear in as many forms as possible- but for now, he has revealed Himself to be in three forms.

I may say revelaion was to me

When do you see Christians going around calling the OT corrupt and disregarding scriptures that we either don't like or don't agree with. We agree with most of their interpretations, but see the ones pertaining to Christ and the Trinity different, yet they are the same verses. We definitely don't go around berating them for our differences. We have great respect for them and their understanding OT. Muslims, on the other hand, try to vilify them regularly.

The first Christians were Jews. Modern Arabic speaking Christians (With the exception of the Copts) and Neo-Aramaic speaking Christians are descendants of the first Jewish Christians.

Modern Judaism also isn't the same as 1st century Judaism. Several times they have changed in reaction to Christianity, such as rejecting books of the bible that they formerly considered holy. At one time they used the Septuagint but after Christ came they rejected it, and a number of books (the "Deuterocanon") written in Greek solely because they were written in Greek during a time that most Jews spoke Greek, despite God never stipulating that his prophets would only speak and write in Hebrew or Aramaic.

Christianity is a "Jewish religion" even if the vast majority of it's members now are not Jews. It didn't come from Rome, Greece, England, Egypt or anywhere else, it came from Jews who apparently did not find it impossible to believe Christ represented the culmination of their religion, which they were better authorities on then anyone today, including modern Jews, could ever be.

Who was the first one who suddenly received that revelation ?!

secret for ALL prophets. they didn't ever heard about it.

Everyone that heard Jesus say he is the Son of God. The twelve Apostles, at least, and many more innumerable. They were prophets, and besides that God spoke himself. Asking what prophet attests that something is true when God speaks himself is as deferring to a servant when the owner of the estate is speaking to you personally.

I think it important to also note that those first pre-Christian followers of Jesus were not only were Jews, among them they also had a wide array of beliefs and understandings about Jesus. Those first couple of generations of pre-Christians held no clear cut across the board understanding or beliefs about Jesus Christ.

You said ask the Jews, and my point which is very clear (and I don't believe you didn't get) is some Jews did believe it, and modern Jews are not a reliable authority on their own tradition in regards to Christianity since they have purposefully changed it in order to undermine Christianity.

Not true. Those who held divergent views did not know Jesus personally, but his Apostles all held the same view and the Bishops that they taught did as well. A good reference for this is Irenaeus. Those who had divergent views did not know Jesus or his Apostles personally, and as is still true today, were those who reject that teaching and stand on the outside and confuse their personal interpretation and inventions for what Jesus taught.

What a brilliant line of argument for saying that they didn't.
