I guess I should give a little background before I tell you the dream. I have been laid off recently at my job as a teacher. I've been praying to find out what the LORD wants me to do. I'm not sure what this type of dream means...

I was in my house and I woke up to find workers in my yard chopping down foliage. While I was looking around I noticed that they chopped down some trees...(I dont have these trees in real life. I think they were pine.) I did not hire these workers but they chopped down all the trees and I was concerned because it looked like everything was exposed and now I noticed that there was a road at the back of the house going down a hill. It seemed like a small road kind of insignificant.

Then there were like Realtors showing up and I asked them why the trees were cut and the woman who spoke asked me, "Were they pine trees." I told her yes and she said, "That's why. because of the pine needles." I noticed that the trees have left some of the land a little rough and vacant but children decided to come and play but I had to tell them to watch their language.

I'm not sure If this has any biblical meaning but I was wondering what the chopping of the trees means from a Christian perspective.

You mean a Scriptural perspective. As you are a Christian, you have a Christian perspective. The Christian perspective is dynamic. Living. Not something we look at through a glass cage in a book. We live through the Spirit of God in our hearts.

Elijah/John the Baptist speaks of cutting down trees. Telling the Jews God can raise children of Abraham "from these stones". Trees have many possible godly meanings. Remember: God is the Creator. His symbolism is everywhere. God speaks in metaphor. (Granted, we often forget language itself relies on metaphor.)

Trees seem to represent something blocking the fact that your house is on a hill and there is a road to it.

Hill: Jesus was crucified on a hill, but I do not think that is what it means. Remember the Scripture, 'a city on a hill' in regards to 'let your light shine before men'?

too many coincedences going on in here.;)

Plot holes are when something improbable and impossible to believe comes through a script or movie. It makes one jarred and suddenly aware of the writer.

What is amazing is God created a world speaking of the probable, but the very existence is improbable. Our existence is improbable, as is our joy.

Or so it seems at the edge of this quickly fading world: tomorrow we will know the "impossible" joy of God forever and ever.
