So there's a bunch of news stories about Harris calling Trump to congratulate, concede and discuss the transition of power.

But isn't that supposed to be President Joe Biden's job?

If Biden really isn't really the President any longer, then they should just swear in Trump ASAP so that we can have an actual acting President in the White House, rather than basically coasting on fumes for the next 75 days.

Joe Biden IS the president .... how coherent he is about that is debatable ... non the less the country is being "run" ... by who ... we do not know. We need to follow "the process" .... because there are too many unknowns and not enough time for the truth of them to come out.

There are "transition teams" that are put together from both sides ... no doubt Ms. Harris will be part of that team ... so likely that is reflective of her statement.

So ... yeah .... we coast on fumes ... we have been for quite some time IMO. To do otherwise would create a bunch of chaos.

Gerald Ford was not elected by the people, not as a Vice President, nor as President. And yet, he was our 38th President.

Clearly, things happen sometimes. And each political party has known, established rules for when those things happen. There was nothing illegal, wrong, or unconstitutional about Kamala Harris' candidacy.
