Lol not even close. My brother is gay and all about LGBT. He's my best friend and a great uncle to my kids. The kids know what gay is and they respect people. They don't get to go to a trans book reading with a demon creature on the cover... Because it's SIN
all you did was confirm what i said originally

'Drag Queen Story Hour' suit dropped by Texas judge

Be aware of what you children are learning and by?
The judge had to throw the case out. The Christians falsely claimed that a religious view was being taught.

One thing that one must remember is that just because something goes against your religious beliefs that does not automatically make the event that goes counter to your beliefs "religious". They should have tried to find some other way to oppose this if it bothered them so much.

The approach that they took was guaranteed to lose. Worse yet it would have taken exactly the sort of judge that Christians are complaining about. It would have taken an activist judge that was willing to reinterpret the law to support a religious viewpoint.

Then just don't go. No one is forcing you to take your kids there.

The question is why did they start this lawsuit in the first place?

Because its immoral, and pushing an agenda.

Id love to see someone dress up as Nazi, go to libraries and teach kids about national socialism. Imagine the outrage, and since as you say, "its not teaching a religious lesson, its OK". (Before everyone flips their noodles, i dont condone nazism, im simply using it as a theoretical example)
The point is it teaches something that shouldnt be taught to kids, and a message that is pure propaganda.

It normalises evil, perversion and sin.

Stop exposing our gay agenda, puny weakling!

Soon, we gays will rise up and transform all straight people into gays with our magical gay making powers!

You responded to an edited post. It wasn't worth the argument of responding to someone who thinks I don't consider my very own brother or any LGBT person as human because my faith and my scriptures call such things sin and thus so do I. Quite disgusting, actually, to accuse someone of that, but I've long since abandoned shock at what is posted on Christian Forums.

As for my edited post in which I said, Not worth it, in regards to that slander, if we take that at face value as if I was saying it isn't worth going, and proceed with your reply, well then I must say that you're shutting down a conversation and an entire thread because the thread asks if I would allow my kids to go to such a thing.

Hardly "immoral". Just because it disagrees with your interpretation of the Bible does not make it immoral. In fact the Bible is not exactly the best source when it comes to morality.

It may be pushing an agenda. Remember what the lawsuit was about. It falsely accused that it was pushing a religious viewpoint, which it wasn't. In fact the only way you can oppose it is by using your personal religious viewpoint.

If you want to oppose this you need to find rational reasons to oppose it.

Yea ive already been down this road with you, and what you believe already. I understand you arent a Christian, so your views on will of course be anti Christian.

Rational is the bibles teachings on morality.

Irrational is allowing people to do whatever they want.

Please not being a Christian does not mean that one's thoughts are "anti-Christian". This is a false dichotomy on your part. And in some ways I am far more "Christian" than other Christians are

And no, the Bible is far from being rational when it comes to morality. And luckily no Christian follows the Bible when it comes to morality. None of them put their children to death for "willful behavior". None of them stone adulterers. Or even homosexuals.

My point was that if they wanted to oppose that they needed to find a valid reason for doing so.

The bible is a valid reason.
For you to dispel the laws set forth in it, shows you ARE anti Christian.
But id say you are alot more Christian than some people who claim to be, your right about that (and that scares me)

Sorry the Bible is not a "valid reason", not in the U.S.. Have you ever read the Constitution? And you "dispel" many of the same laws. You are not consistent in your application of the Bible, but that is a good thing.

The judge had to throw out the bogus lawsuit. Even if he agreed with those people they presented their claims to him in such a manner that he had not choice. This is called "shooting oneself in the foot".

You're right. No Christian would follow Jewish OT Law. You don't even know what a Christian is if that's your take.
As I said, no Christian follows the Bible. You pick and choose which parts to follow and make excuses for not obeying all of it.

And this is why the Bible is not a book of morality. Even different Christians will disagree about what is moral based upon it.

I understand what excuses you will use. Don't try to claim that I do not understand Christianity. Many atheists were Christians and became atheists through a superior understanding of the Bible.

Triple not worth it.
Why? Because it is too easy to demonstrate your errors?

I do not think that I would want my own children to go see this, but I would not use poor reasoning for my actions, nor would I immorally try to stop those that wanted to go from going. That those that oppose this cannot find a valid reason to oppose it shouts volumes.

The Holy Orthodox Church does not pick and choose. We are under the New Covenant, not Jewish Law. The Bible progresses from one to the other as all is revealed through time, and we practice its finality. You absolutely 100 percent have no idea what Christianity is. This is typical basement posting by completely uneducated atheists found on any forum or social media site.
