You start on the Fourth of July!
Nice organization.
Dominant people, yeah. I used to be the quiet one but have noticed myself more dominant with age. (Stop laughing, everyone.)

We will talk about an individual's realm of influence . . . so a person doesn't go up to someone, say their boss, and tell them how to do such and such without really understanding the true meaning of the dream. I've made my own mistakes and it was a good lesson.
Lol. (-;

I noticed it mentioned in a thread that someone was running a training course on interpreting dreams & visions.

I have also heard of people running training like this for adult education organisations for the general public. It's a great tool for outreach to connect with people who otherwise might be drawn into new age classes & beliefs.

If you were training somone or a group of people about this subject, what would your "Table of Contents" or key points be?

If your class included non-Christians, how would you midify the content?

Your post, and my brother was asking for something like this, caused me to write up something.

Unfortunately, it is not just about d&v, because really I can't write about d&v and not write about what I believe to be the background necessary there.

I don't know, I emailed it to my mom because she is very intuitive for a proof reading and to tell me if I shouldn't just chunk it all or not.

If you want a copy, let me know, though she has a lot of experience proof reading.

Thanks for posting the course plan Hadasseh - looks good. The book also looks intersting. I like "Responding to Your Dreams", I think that is something that is often missed. Dreams are thought about, maybe discussed but sometimes not taken any further. Prayer is the obvious response but this can be easy to miss.

Something that has been alluded to but not specifically mentioned is context - thinking about & understanding how a dream fits in our "world". I've found this very helpful in understanding dreams - particularly listening to what the Holy Spirit is highlighting. For me this then illuminates an interpretation of the dream.

What can help in understanding visions is reflecting on some things like:
- Recent & upcoming events in our life (Particularly day before & coming day)
- Other dreams which have been on our mind
- What we were thinking about shortly before or after we had the dream/vision
- Our feelings at the time we had the dream/vision
- Bible verses we read recently or which have been on our mind
- Things we heard & saw recently e.g. news, programs you watched, things people said etc
- Situations in various areas of our lives e.g. work, family, friends, church, recreation
- Areas of our lives where we & God wants us to grow
- The people who will hear our dream (God knows the people who will hear our dreams & I believe at times shapes them accordingly). I think this is a signifiacnt factor for dreams posted on this forum.

Things like this can help piece together the puzzle. If we can't remember or nothing seems significant, we can ask the Holy Spirit to bring to your mind what is relevant.

Hi Hadasseh,
Good to see your name on posts again. I would love to hear some feedback on your course.
* What worked well? Where did you sense the Lord's fingerprints?
* What would you change next time?
* How was the participation?
* Any non-Christians present & if so how was their response?
* Plus any other insights you have from it would be more than welcome....

Hello Firewater,
This was perhaps one of the best and most successful classes I've facilitated. I noticed that there were as many participants at the final day of class as were at the beginning, maybe more. "What worked well:" the dialogue within class went great - conversations were more than about dreams, but about loving people, our daily walk, etc. "God's fingerprings:" I could really feel His presence during class and even the night before as I would pray for leading. He really wants His people to know how to "hear & see." "What would I change:" I would add some video footage to be shown during class. I've seen some great interviews on Sid Roth, Patricia King, etc. and I wish we would have had time to present what others around the nation/world are experiencing. "Non Christians present:" Most of the class were people you can tell are "hungry" for God. I noticed they were more open-minded than I had anticipated. Some interesting facts: 1) some people who dream alot found that their dreams were less during this study 2) some people who didn't have many dreams, their dreams picked up a bit 3) my dreams were more intense - not necessarily more dreams, but more intense 4) those attending the classes have really paid attention and ARE applying the techniques studied -- this amazed me. I know I did what God wanted . . . and that is so fulfilling:thumbsup:
