• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There has been a train derailment in the county in which I live. This has caused quite a few evacuations and hardships for many. A christian church nearby has agreed to be a shelter for some people. I am thanking and praising God that there were no fatalities and no serious injuries. There are many with problems breathing, asthma flare-ups and irritant issues from the smoke. I am posting some links to the stories and pictures.

Lord, I come to you tonight asking for your guidance and protection Lord. Father I ask you to please protect all the workers involved in cleaning up this train derailment. Lord I ask you to push this hazardous air far away so that it may not harm anyone else. Lord I ask you to comfort those families who have been evacuated. I ask you to protect the pets some had to leave at home. Father I ask you to guide the crews as they try to figure out what happened. I ask that they learn from this so that future disasters can be avoided. Father I thank you and praise you that there were no fatalities in this accident, as it could have been much worse. Lord I thank you for all the many people volunteering to help. Lord I ask you to continue to supply the needs of the Red Cross and Christian church as they provide a shelter for those who need it during this evacuation. Father I ask that this disaster comes to an end and people be able to return to their homes safely. Lord I thank you for hearing my prayer. In Jesus Name
Amen

Lord Father, surround those that are working tonight. Let these men and women be blessed, for they come together in the time of need, placing their own worries behind them, and seeking to help others. Father, let there not be any tragedy as they work on clearing this accident, but guide the fumes and the danger away from this town. In the Mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen

Thank you Burn97. It is my understanding the fire is still burning, and many roads are still closed. The elementary school closest to the site is closed also. I saw a lot of the black smoke when they began the intentional fire to burn off the chemicals. I was probably 30+ miles from the fire and looked up and saw a black smoke cloud that began at the site and went on past where I was. They are saying this smoke is not hazardous, but its kinda hard to believe when you see it.

Father God, thank You for preserving these people from the terrible accident. May Your hand of protection be upon the workers, during the cleanup, keep them safe. Protect the community from the fumes, let them not be harmed by the black smoke. May the community be united together through this, and come stronger, in Jesus Name.

I want to thank all of you individually for your outpouring of faith to those immediately affected by this disaster and let you know that you have helped heal my heart with your love. Though I am not in that immediate area at this time the derailment occured within five miles of where i grew up and my parents still have a home there. I truely believe in the power of prayer and your flow of love has healed the strain I have felt by not being there to immediately aid those I love. Thank you all.
