touching yourself

touching yourself is something that almost all guys struggle with. I know it might seem strange that I'm posting on this, but it IS something that I feel we all need to focus on as Christians. I found out about touching yourself when I was about 11 years old, through my school's "Family Health" class that all 5'th and 6'th graders were required to go to attend. I, unfortunately, found out about touching yourself and started something that has been a huge issue for me for the past 4 years.
I wasn't told about the Christian viewpoint of touching yourself, until about the time I was in 7'th or 8'th grade. I mean, my father is a christian, but he thinks that It is a "healthy way to let out sexual urgesthat was given to us by God." He has also has problems with porn, leading up to me finding a porn vidio in the closet a few months back. I had heard in the past that it was ok to touch as long as you're not fantisizing, but come on, that's like laying candy out infront of a baby, telling them they can't eat it, and then leaving the room. It's impossible!
It wasn't until a few weeks ago when I asked my Young Life leader what he thought about touching yourself. He went on to explain that it IS something that almost all Christian males struggle with and that I'm not alone. From that day on, I have decided that I would try to the best of my ability to restrain from touching yourself, partially because I have seen what it has done to my dad, and partially because I understand now that God doesn't want me doing it.
I hope that this helps all of you guys out there. This is a tough issue, but with God's help, ALL things are possible.

I don't think you can touch without fantasizing either. They're symbiotic. Sexual urges lead to imagining, which lead to... *ahem* your soldier standing to attention, to use a euphemism. Masturbation leads to fantasizing (I've found) which leads to again, the above. Your body has other ways of "releasing pressure" that aren't morally/ethically wrong. Nocturnal emissions happen without your control. Release. Also, not thinkign also helps.

beatarmy2, I don't wanna discuss the topic here, it's been discussed to death elsewhere on CF, and good luck if you're bored/interested enough to read through it. This thread will probably be deleted/closed, FYI.

Anyway, just wanted to say that yes, masturbation without fatasizing is indeed possible, not even very hard to do, provided you don't expect to do it several times a day or something. You're probably just used to doing it while fatasizing.
