From Temple Priest to Servant of Christ - 07/28/03
Kishor held the most respected position in the community. But then one day, he gave it all up to be rejected and homeless. Why would he do such a thing?
The whole village was in shock when they heard the news. The respected local priest was rejecting their ancient religion. He was now a follower of Jesus Christan untouchable in the eyes of the people. He received threats, humiliation, and mocking.
But the most painful persecution came when his family forced him to leave the house. Then they performed a ceremony like a funeral, declaring they no longer have a son. Alone and forsaken, Kishor walked away from everyone he loved and everything he owned. His only desire was to tell others of the freedom and forgiveness he found in Jesus Christ.
And so, the Lord called him to enroll in a Gospel for Asia Bible School. There he found love and acceptance. And he learned how to study the Bible and share his faith. After three years, he graduated. And today, Kishor, the former priest, is winning people to the Lord Jesus Christ and planting churches among the most unreached.
