I also really like Plankeye, and Reality Check released a great album back in 1997. BUCK and the Supertones are also quite fun, and while they're not really bands I think Rebecca St. James is great (though not entirely original) as is Jennifer Knapp.

some other greats are FIF, underoath, john rueban, skillet, TFK, except that Rawkfist song is stupid(none of their other music is like that on the album)
