Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I know I shouldn't, but I just love it when the self-appointed paragons of moral rectitude are exposed as shams. It's a visceral thing...I can't help myself.
Schadenfreude this good must have been delivered directly from the sweet Lord.

Tom DeLay makes me ashamed to be from Texas. He is a horribly corrupt man and needs to be dealt with and held accountable for his actions, as well as those who allow him to get away with the things he gets away with.

No outrage from the left when Nancy Pelosi does the essentially the same thing.

What this is all about is George Soros seeking a consolation prize after spending $26 million trying to elect Kerry and failing to do so.

One of Soros' fronts, "The Public Campaign Action Fund " is paying for the TV ads attacking Delay.

The goal is to get those who know nothing of the activites of Soros, Bing, Lewis, the Pritzker family and other on the fascistic left who now own the DNC to believe the "The Public Campaign Action Fund" is a non-partisan campaign finance reform group and "good government" means Tom DeLay must go.

Ironic that the guy who spent over $15 million pushing Campaign Finance Reform and who--with Bing, Lewis and Mr. and Mrs. Sandler--spent over $70 million on Kerry 527 fronts is hiding behind cleaning up campaign financing to force out a man who has received a fraction of the money Soros & Company spend monthly trying to elect Democrats and defeat Republicans.

Like I heard on the radio a few days ago 'Delay is the gift that keeps on giving' to Democrats.:)
Keep Harry Reid(aka clone of Daschle) and Pelosi talking. The more they talk, the more Rush talks about them! And the more Rush and other right wingers talk about Pelosi, Reid, Kennedy et al is good news for the GOP.:amen:

I have no doubt that Mr. DeLay may be corrupt, however I wonder why DeLay? why now? DeLay is not the only corrupt politician in Washington. My concerns are not partisan, they reflect on the entire makeup of a corrupt system that needs to be changed, not abolished. In situations like this things tend to snowball downhill. Statesmen look out for the well being of the nation, politicians feather their own nest. What we need now are statesmen who are not swayed by "special interests".

Both sides do it, and both sides deny they do it, and both sides claim the other side does it more and worse. It's all a game, because neither side wants to stop doing it, they just want the people to focus more on the other side doing it.

The really sad thing is when people ignore their side doing it, and claim it's only the other side that does it. People get the leaders they deserve, I believe.

no where in your post do you admonish delay for his actions. just because one side does it, does not make it "okay" for the other to do so and claim, "but they're doing it, too!" it's childish, irresponsible, and most of all, hypocisy at its finest.

he's the house majority leader, therefore, he makes for a great big target - lightning rod, if you will.

Admonish him for what? Paying his wife for working for him? So What? No laws were broken. It was duly reported to state and federal campaign agencies. He didn't try to hide it. He didn't need to hide it because it is not illegal.

The trip to Russia was financed the same way all the Democrat trips are. Ask Pelosi.

Respectfully

This is about issues of ethics, not legality.

That the subject is among the most sanctimonious, Jesus-mentioning, self-righteous Republicans of all makes it especially amusing.

Are you objecting because his wife worked for the conservative cause and was paid, legally and ethically, approx. $60,000 a yr.? Big deal.

If you want to insert party affiliation into the discussion, fine. We can start with your hero, the unethical Clinton, or your champion of ethics, the ever-popular, but lethal, Kennedy. Ok? Talk about sanctimonious.
