Well...does this mean I'm off the hook for posting the other TB threads?

Ah Twiggy, humans never learn, do they? They still want to rip the scab off the sore.

I've seen it before many times, of all those great men of a god, fall from grace as they say. So, you let them have another go, and they fall again, because they haven't really confessed and REPENTED their sins publicly to our Lord Jesus Christ, all the people that they seduced and deceived. They can go on, and on, and on.

So TB, is making a comeback. Well, all we can do is wait for his comeback and see if he has changed, and has really REPENTED?

I pray that he has truly confessed and REPENTED his false teaching, doctrine, and idle words.

I pray that his brain and heart has been transformed and renewed.

I pray that he has submitted to our Lord Jesus Christ.

I pray that his hands are cleansed.

I pray that his heart is purified (even do he divorced his wife and family).

I pray that he has resisted Satan, his angels, and Satan's forces.

I pray that he will express humility on his return.

I pray all of this in Jesus' Name.

Blessings.

You see these leaders trying so hard to put a man back into ministry who has not only done these things, but throughout the process they've excused his actions or overlooked them when it could be helped. I'm not talking about Bentley, I'm talking about the people backing him.

Yep, that's the major problem I have with this entire situation. Bentley's moral failings aren't as much the issue as the failings of the church "leaders".

Joyner and those in his camp have much to answer for in this rush to get him back into the limelight. Their motives are less than honorable as evidenced by their continued whitewashing of Bentley's situation. Anyone with a modicum of discernment ability can see this for what it is.

The ones I have even less respect for are the "leaders" who laid their hands on Bentley, anointed him as God's next big thing only to crank up the spin machine as soon as Bentley's failings became public. C. Peter Wagner's repeated justifications for his involvement in this thing literally makes me sick to my stomach.

He's gone so far as to lay the reason for his participation at the feet of God Himself claiming it was God who told him to bring "alignment" to the chaos brewing at Lakeland; against the advice of some of his most trusted advisors. Whether he wants to admit this or not, he "aligned" his entire ministry (along with all of its supporters) with a "fraud and a liar" (Wagner's words, not mine).

I know I'm going to get reamed for these comments by some but there has GOT to be some emphasis on the need for godly discernment in the Body of Christ and, frankly, there just doesn't seem to be any. We give so many people a pass under the umbrella of "tolerance" and "non-judgmentalism" that we forget we are called to judge with godly discernment; ESPECIALLY those who utter the phrase "thus sayeth the Lord".

I believe a true minister of Christ would own their mistakes instead of trying to spin their way out of them. That's integrity; something that is sadly lacking in this era of celebripastors. Peter would have much more respect in my and many other people's eyes if he'd just stand up and say "I messed up" instead of continuing to play these stupid political games. Wagner's attempts to save face (and financial support) makes him sound like he belongs in Washington D.C., not the house of God.

Yes, we should pray for Bentley and his family. I believe we should also pray for all of these apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers and evangelists who had/have a hand in this mess to have their eyes opened to the need for walking in integrity instead of self-serving manipulative tactics that will negatively affect generations of souls.

He doesn't owe you his repentance.
Sorry, but once he took money, and allowed people to throw their jewelery on the stage, that then gathered after meetings, yes,he does owe an apology. That is even what an unbeliever would do.

I agree with this, and it explains my concerns.

The word of God is quite clear.

1 Tim 5:22 Amplifed,a translation noted for it's acurracy.
Do not be in a hurry in the laying on of hands [giving the sanction of the church too hastily in reinstating expelled offenders or in ordination in questionable cases], nor share or participate in another man's sins; keep yourself pure.

I totally agree with you. Wagner is the ringleader and Bentley is just part of the bad fruit of the "New Apostolic Reformation. They are elitest false prophets and teachers who believe they are chosen to usher in "the final move of God" and receive the transfer of wealth from the nations to the church. In short they are dominionists and Latter rain. The dangerous thing among others, is that they believe everyone must submit to their leadership. The chosen "new breed" of which Bentley was apart are to usher in signs and wonders, but I call them false signs and wonders.

The problem isnt ultimately restoration, the problem is this eagerness to keep this revival sideshow thing going. It's almost as if these guys live from meeting to meeting, conference to conference. Look he is here ! Look he is there ! Where is the abiding practical life in Jesus ? It's inside you.

As I stated in the last Todd Bentley thread, if or when he goes back into ministry, the first thread that is posted on it I will quit this forum. Now although this video doesn't say he's back into ministry but he is clearly on that path and the people here in this forum will not simply let it be as evidence by this thread.

I understand that people have their right to talk about this and also know many believe this is real important to talk about but I don't want to be around to witness this forum self-distruct as it did the last time, so I am not going to. I'm placing this sub-forum off limits to myself.

I will continue to post every so often in the debate forum up until the point that it is over run by Todd Bentley threads. If that should happen also, and I know it will eventually, then consider me gone from there also.

Those of you who may want to engage in forum discussion with me, look for me in any other sub-forum other than this one.
