CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Today, I have a headache and staying at home.
Its the cloudy weather my head feels tight and pressured. But I will attempt to finish my assignment or at do some knitting. If I can't do that I will read.

Today I need to drop some books at the salvation army and also a friend who had a baby I want to encourage her husband to be a good dad, found a tape someone donated that is about being a dad. I hope he has a tape player..? I plan to drop it in their letterbox.

Today is saturday! Everyones favourite day as its the weekend. Sporty types play their games and matches, gardeners get growing, and masses of people go grocery shopping cos they were working and dont have time during the week.
Separated families come together, and the traffic on saturday morning can be just as crazy as on a Monday. Students toil away at their service jobs on saturdays to raise money to pay off their student loan.
The world is different on a saturday.

Boo hoo, still Friday for me. Everyone's off though, so it kinda feels like Saturday. Today, I went to yoga class and did the marketing. Those were the high points lol.

Today is a full and exciting Friday.
I'll be editing my boyfriend's master's thesis, finishing corrections on my thesis, finishing up some self-assigned reading on globalization, grilling burgers for dinner, and then meeting up with some friends to play Pokemon Go downtown (once it cools off-- heat index is 110F here).
