If Jesus came back tomorrow, this would close the door on salvation.

Do not let me find you sleeping...and be ready for me when i come.

If you are not ready, the door is shut, and others dont get in later. ( not all who say to me Lord Lord will enter).

The suggestion has been made that there is a second chance for Christains, once a first gathering has taken place...........nonsense;

But do you suppose this, O man, when you pass judgment on those who practice such things and do the same yourself, that you will escape the judgment of God?
4 Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?
5 But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,
6 who WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS:
7 to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life;
8 but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation.

This present time of Gods patience and grace will end when Christ comes.

"Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.
13 "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end."

Peter also says that this is the time of Gods patience, wanting all to repent now, before Christ comes.

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.

The time to repent is now, because all is going to perish.
Do we look to such things?

11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat!
13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.
14 Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless,
15 and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you,
16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things

So Paul speaks of this in all his letters?
Where-;

Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you.
2 For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.
3 While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction[2][Or sudden destruction ] will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.

This is a plain indication of God's righteous judgment so that you will be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which indeed you are suffering.
6 For after all it is only just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
7 and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire,
8 dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
9 These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,
10 when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed—for our testimony to you was believed

Watch and be prepared today.
God bless all

If God gives second chances to some and not to all then he would not be fair. And God is a fair God. No second chances for anyone. Jew or Greek.

Hey, thanks PK , you encourage me all the time,........... and thanks again.

Ive only got one response to this thread though, as though no-one else gets what i mean. ( curls up his bottom lip)

Just to explain a little more.

We all seem to get more than one chance at it........This is the era that can expierience Gods grace= revealed through Jesus. 70 times in one day your brother can sin against you personally, and if he repents...70 times you MUST forgive him....

But the day is coming when,--just like as it was in Noahs day---that God will look upon the world, and prepare an ark of salvation, for them that are found righteous in his sight.
Yes, the ark of the modern era, is the gospel of our beloved righteous Lord Jesus Christ of Nazereth....and this Journey will last into the Ark when every last tribe and culture on earth will hear the good news of the perfect dimensions of the modern Ark---which is Jesus risen....and then the dreadful end will come.

In other words, those who do not have the Spirit of Christ in them when he comes---are none of his.

Hence the call to watch and be ready, and treat with urgency the spreading of the good news to every creature.

As it was in Noahs day, so it will be in the day the son of man is revealed.
Those on the Ark were saved...
those who were not..died...................
this is the Judgement.

At the GWT,

Rev 22:10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
Rev 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Jesus is not coming to give second chances but to give rewards. At that point no man's heart can be changed. Your destiny is sealed. That is ultimate judgment.

Mat 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
Mat 25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
Mat 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Mat 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Mat 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

I am looking for the part where he gives a second chance. For some reason i can't find it. Just trying to entice someone to post something. So if anyone can show me where he comes to give people a second chance please do so.

Thank you Jeffweeder. Its always nice when i see u posting something. It always makes sense.
