Today is our Anniversary....

Today is our anniversary and its been a crazy day. So far I spent all morning in a meeting that ended up lasting 3 hours, an resulted in major responsibilities and work for me. When I got home, my husband informed me that my mom was taken to the hospital with heart problems. Spent the afternoon at the hospital with her and my dad. Things look like they're going to be okay. My 16 year old son, who was suppose to watch the kids while we went out, got called into work. So we had to make major efforts to come up with an alternative plan. We've decided to just go out for a quick bite and then head home.

Its gonna be tough to relax and be romantic with such chaos going on around me. I just do not crazy days like this. Hard to salvage the day. Maybe a glass of wine will help - lol

Happy anniversary and best wishes! If you aren't able to salvage the day on the day itself, perhaps you could arrange to have a repeat of the day, when things are a little bit calmer -- a quiet evening out with your hubby.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! Sorry to hear about the chaotic day you have had. Just goes to show that sometimes things don't always go as planned. I guess that's what makes life exciting or not exciting sometimes.

Glad your mother is doing okay and may tomorrow be a better day. Maybe you can plan your celebration on another day that is quieter. Thank God we do get blessed with normal, happy days too. Praying that tomorrow is better for you and your family.

Thanks for all the well wishes.

Surprising we were able to salvage the evening and have a nice time. Its funny cause I was telling my husband last night, use to be a day like this would have just flustered me so much it would have ruined the evening. But I was able to put it all aside and enjoy our time together. It was just a reflection on how much work God has been able to accomplish in me over the years.

Anyway, we had a lovely evening. Dinner was wonderful. My husband got me a lovely gift certificate to a spa, so when another day like this occurs, I'll have a nice retreat.

Life is full of surprises no matter how you plan things but God always have a way for us to cope. At least you survived and had a quiet time. My wife and I would prefer a glass of wine and lock ourselves in our bedroom for the next 12 hours !! Happy Anniversary anyway !!
