CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My family and I celebrated my birthday yesterday. It was horrible.

This is going to sound rediculous, but I almost died twice yesterday. One of the times was, I almost tripped and fell into a construction pit.
I just want one good birthday.

Happy Birthday!!!!!!!
How you feel about the day that you become another year older as you live life is purely and only up to you. I've had 61 of them and in reality they are just another day, but each one is the day that I became another year older in my life. For me, a bad birthday would be one in which the car broke down, my dog died, my wife left me and my home burned down and I lost my job. So, when I hear someone say that they've never had a good birthday, I rather believe it's more their attitude and what they expect a birthday to be, more than it's some sort of particularly bad day.
BTW, if I 'almost' fell into a construction pit and died, but didn't, I'd be rejoicing in God's mercy that He protected me.
