How does this differ from the Episcopal Church, Michael? We have a church here in Plano which used to be Christ Episcopal Church but they made national news about a year or so ago when they broke away from the Episcopal Church because of the stance on ordaining gay bishop. They now call themselves Anglican. (My husband grew up Episcopalian and he and I spent several years in the Episcopal church after we married.)

The Anglican Church North America (ACNA) started earlier this year when seven conservatitive Anglican communions and ministries came together. These include CANA (Convocation of Anglicans,North America) the AMiA (Anglican Mission in (the) Americas; the Reformed Episcopal Chuch; and others.

The parish you mention is either part of the ACNA; or, is similar to us. Several conservatitive anglican churches left the Episcopal Church (TEC). Others, including Christ The King in Kokomo, are new church plants, not break away groups.

In either case, sexuality is only the presenting issue. The heart of the matter is the authority of Scripture and Holy Tradition. If we set this aside, or explain it away, whenever it becomes an issue for our culture; we have made the shifting sands of culture our authority instead. So, the true issue is whether we choose to be historic Christians, or not.
