  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Very grateful for assistance I received today about an issue with my pension. Got a resolution to an issue that I've been working towards for several years. I'm not close to retiring, but not help straightening some things out.

That Christ The King Anglican Church in Kokomo, IN will celebrate its first Eucharist this afternoon at 5:00PM. (The first service is on a Saturday, so people from our sister churches around the state can come and celebrate with us.)

How does this differ from the Episcopal Church, Michael? We have a church here in Plano which used to be Christ Episcopal Church but they made national news about a year or so ago when they broke away from the Episcopal Church because of the stance on ordaining gay bishop. They now call themselves Anglican. (My husband grew up Episcopalian and he and I spent several years in the Episcopal church after we married.)
