To the Non Messianic Jews who frequent this forum

First I would like to apologize for the way you were treated in here today.

Next I would like to ask a question, I have visited the non-Christian religion forum and seen where some of you try to have serious conversations but they always seem to be interrupted by those who are agnostic, atheist or non observant Jews as well as some 'non-Jew friendly' Christians. I even see some Staff in there heckling. I was wondering how that made you feel? It would seem to me that serious conversation about any religious subject is hard to have.

It is something you get used to- and it is only a reflectiion
of the world at large.
Despite the strides made, there is still plenty of anti-Jewish
feeling in the world, as well as just out right ignorance
of what Jews and Judaism are. Sometimes it's subtle,
sometimes not....

Conversations indeed can be difficult, so many of us also
spend time in other, more Jewish friendly forums.
We also learn to ignore a lot of the stuff that goes on in
NCR and elsewhere here.
But I echo ST, that this forum is the most "Jew
friendly" area on CF.

In fact ,"Judaism" is preached in Christians and others like "Dark Righteousness " . I am one who is affected deeply.

I was thinking about this last night... there are so many questions I'd love to ask but don't feel I should bother to in the NC area because they'll just be derailed by people who have no answer to my questions. It doesn't seem very fair not to be able to have sub forums for certain religions...

Oh, so that's OK then, is it? Well I'm glad I know! I naturally thought staff were above such things and were all believers- I'm clearly mistaken. It must be a case of don't do as I do, do as I say. :o

When there is more than 20 or more of the same ...they can get the CF to open up a forum just for them. They must clearly outline their differences and be catagorized as such in an area that best fits under Cf ruling.

this may sound weird, but I feel that maybe the Jewish members should seek this... I see them as totally set apart from other "non-Christians"... maybe I'm biased.

I would like to say that I love having the non-messianic Jews who love to help us understand Judaism better ...coming in and posting. I have enjoyed the insights and have learned lots. I hope that they have enjoyed us and our insights into who we think the Messiah is too.

This is nothing new. You walk down the street in a Kippah, and you recieve the same behavior, even from some christians who are bent on offensive missionary efforts based on subpar knowledge of Judaism. You just get used to it. After all, are we really supposed to get so comfortable living in Galut?

We are not talking about those groups; them I expect it from.
It's Muslims, Buddhists (some of them are the worst, believe
it or not) and Christians.

It may happen to other people to, but it does not make it right.
And them often seem to delight in taking extra digs at Jews.

But their hate and ignorance is their problem to deal with not mine,
other than reporting an extremely virulent post.

Thanks, but I and others now spend the bulk of our time at other
forums, and I no longer have the desire, need , time or energy
to try again....

Exactly.....like I said, what happens on the forums here is just

debate and discussion is great but discrimination and harassment is never anyone's right regardless if they feel their way is the only correct way....
