To Blog, or not to Blog...

Since my husband relocated to Heaven in November, 2010 I've been writing to him. First it started with posts on his Facebook page...then right before New Years I started a blog.

I've received such positive feedback from people close to me as well as people I've never met who have found encouragement in my journey. Recently, a very close family member who loves me very much said I should stop. That I should "show some dignity" and not put my life out there for everyone to see. (This may sound a little harsh, but I know her intentions are good.).

I think that if it helps you, you should continue. My husband past away more then 20 years ago and I still write to him. I don't have a blog blog, but I do have a memorial here on CF that I use for that purpose.

Your friend may mean well, but unless they go through what you've gone through they have no way of knowing the pain and heartache that you have. And if she doesn't like it, she doesn't need to read it.

Hi Leila,
I also have a web about my husband who reunited with the Lord in 2005 and still there until today. I got lots of emails from other countries how much they were blessed thru it and asked me to keep it on, some of them even contributed their stories to share. Due to my financial situation, I was going to close it down but more emails came to thank me for the web so I took it as the sign from Him to keep it active and believe He will give me the way to financially support it. So yes, keep your blog going and let it be the encouragement for the others.
