Wow...aren't we defensive? Are you frightened of conversing with those of different ideas? I find it enjoyable. A world or a forum in which everyone agrees like robotics is utterly boring, don't you think? I like to be challenged, to learn new things, to see different viewpoints and yes, obviously, to debate. That's why I am here. I am able to converse here with people I would not know in real life and find it fun. I have some great friends I've known for years whom I've met online, who are christians.
The bible said that christians are to spread the word, and to many evangelism is important. You (and landover baptist parody site) are of the opinion that if you aren't christian, you aren't welcome. May I ask why you are posting something directly against the teachings of christ? Why are you doing the exact opposite of what the bible suggests you do? That's curious to me.
If you have a strong faith then it will only grow stronger as you shoot down other arguments. Hearing the complaints and criticisms of atheists and non-christians should help you to strengthen your ministry and get a good idea of peoples objections to christianity. Many find that enlightening. As they say...jesus didn't come for the saved, he came for those who are in need. Why do you insult, rant and rave and attempt to drive those very people away??
You would never post in a board in which the majority didn't pat you on the back and back up your claims? Does that mean your faith relies on your environment? How sad that you feel you must shelter yourself from all opposition. I would find it much more exciting to share what I thought was true, and to convince others that my view was right.
As for your assumption that everyone here believes, it is false. I don't just explore what I believe in. Religion is an interesting concept for someone like myself who minors in comparative religion...plus it has a strong effect on the world and needs to be explored. I like hearing what others think; that doesn't mean I agree. I don't believe in hiding from the world in my little dugout, waiting to be attacked. I like to interact. I don't believe in a god. I am agnostic and really don't believe we can know in this life, although I still explore all different types of religions. I don't believe your god is the only possibility either, although I respect that you do. I only question why, if you have the protection of someone who is all powerful, do you feel that you must attack and push away those who don't???
