Alright, tacoman528, let's get a few things straight. Before leaving the thread earlier today, you made a couple of specific claims (or, I should say, you lifted a couple of Hovind's claims) regarding moon dust and lunar recession. Those claims were refuted. Instead of acknowledging the posts written in response to your arguments and either retracting your statements or defending them, you have chosen to act as if nothing happened.

Now you've given us another laundry list of Hovind howlers. Bad form, young man, bad form.

You should be getting an inkling by now (fourteen pages and counting) how tedious most of us find Hovind. You could easily run a search on every one of his talking points and find out for yourself how wrong he is about virtually everything he tries to talk about. But I don't get the impression that you are that honest or ambitious. So you are going to mindlessly spew Hovind's arguments in page after excrutiating page and then declare victory if the rest of us don't chase our tails, doing your work for you. Pretty pathetic, kid.

If you want to get taken seriously, quit acting like a deluded YEC Christbot and take your science education more seriously than Hovind does. Otherwise, don't be surprised if the gloves come off. You won't be able to hide behind Hovind or your age if willful idiocy becomes the issue.

Okay, I had got to page four and hadn't seen much for Biblical evidence. Where are all the Christians.....where is the original poster with his evidence and reasonable explanations. Except for willowwolf comments on page four(keep in mind I haven't read further), I haven't heard anything solid. So even though I am an amateur in the area of "Bible vs. Science", I'll wing it. Don't get me wrong, I have done quite a bit of study on these things, but theology and escatology are my forte' and with those areas I write my own studies. So with that in mind, even though I done the study, I have nothing original to bring to the table. So you'll have to deal with web addresses to the comments of others.

I'll start with the last comments I read about Noah's ark not being a scientifically feasible situation.

Accepting everything in the above article for the sake of argument, what did the carnivores eat? If we assume that they had enough to eat for the time on the ark, what did they eat at the end of that time?

What population of herbivores is needed to support 1 carnivore? Most carnivore groups (say a pack of 8 lions) make a kill once every 3 days in the wild. If we say that each carnivore needed to kill once every 24 days (this asumes the meat all keeps fresh enough to eat, obviously) then there must have been a huge number of extinctions of 'kinds' as any killing of one animal would have ended that kind (only 1 male and 1 female). The only possible way round this would be if animals only every killed the male after he had impregnated the female and went around killing males of different kinds rather than returning to feed on the female or her young. I do not have the maths for it, but I am pretty sure someone can do an analysis on showing how infeasible even such a ridiculous scenario as that would be.

Couldn't leave just yet I saw some comments on AIDS that caught my eye. And I will have to say that actually tacoman's comments come from the University of Alabama's theory, that AIDS was first contracted when some humans ate ape meat. Actually there is no evidence of that being the source at all. It seems that HIV in Humans is nearly identical to some which have been found in apes(SIV) but there is NO reason to assume that's where it began. This is because apes got it too, in other words we could have gave it to them as much as they did us. This is one of many species that can transfer some diseases to some other species. The question isn't who had it first or who gave it too who, the question is who gave it to either of us. Supposing apes contracted it first and tranfered it to humans, well.... who was the ape case zero and where did he get it what exactly transferred it to him. Many scientists believe that humans and apes have been tranferring HIV back and forth for at least 5 decades.

Here's another question about the Flood and animals from Noah's Ark.

How did such a limited selection of animals (only 2 of every "kind") overcome the problems of inbreeding (not to mention other all the other detrimental factors, environmental and otherwise) to produce the healthy, diverse populations we observe today?

Seriously, there isn't that much to add, except that it's an old ventriloquist act that we've all seen many times before. Tacoman's lips are moving, but Kent Hovind's words are coming out. And refuting Hovind's arguments with logic and scientific evidence would be like knocking down a sand castle with a H-bomb.
Besides, it's already been done to death.

As soon as tacoman comes up with an original idea that has not already been dismantled on these boards, I will be happy to give it whatever attention it deserves.
Which, by the way, is what I've been doing with his/Hovind's ideas this whole time: Giving them what they deserve.
